Me and my partner noticed Fiona on the first day of our trip while walking to our hotel, Mexican is my favourite cuisine so we instantly decided to book a table for the next night as it was my birthday. Booking online was easy and there is a deposit to pay, we also left a note that it was my birthday. We were running a little late due to an earlier excursion in the day but we arrived just before our booking time of 20:30. On entering the restaurant I could feel the positive vibes and the smell of food was great, the bar idea is really cool and I could have sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks if we had got there earlier. We were greeted and promptly seated, after being seated we got a chance to look around and I have to say that the restaurant is really really nice. The attention to detail regarding the decor is brilliant, space between tables is fair but one thing I noticed late on when it got busier was that it got noisy. The menu is good quality and is set out nicely, I do make it my mission to try different dishes every time I go out to eat. But I found it difficult to understand what I was potentially choosing, so ended up googling a bunch of stuff and still didn’t really know. So I went for a small plate of quesadillas, they were ok. Too greasy for my liking and heavy with cheese. My partner is a fussy eater, so she went for a plate of pulled chicken soft tacos. We asked for just the chicken on the tacos and everything else on the side, we were told that couldn’t be done but after the dish came it was obvious that it absolutely could. But then we also realised that it wasn’t pulled chicken, it was pulled pork, which she doesn’t like. My partner was brave enough to try them and ate a good portion before she offered me the rest, we both ordered a rice bowl each, it was chorizo based. Normally I love chorizo but for some reason I didn’t like the taste of the dish at all, we both left more than half. Drinks wise I had two cocktails that were tasty and my partner had a mock tail that was also delicious. If I remember correctly there are three options for dessert, I chose the cheesecake because why not? It was nice, and when the staff brought it to the table they had inserted a big sparkling candle, I actually forgot it was my birthday and we hadn’t mentioned anything to the staff so they did take note of the booking we made the previous day.

All in all the restaurant is a very nice place, the staff are good. It’s reasonably priced, it was a nice atmosphere, it’s clean and smells nice.

I would definitely go again but I would try something else on the...

I am a little bit torn when writing this review. On one hand, the food and drinks were delicious. We opted for the taco Tuesday deal which was €22 for one cocktail and two tacos. The cocktail was of high-quality and the tacos were very tasty. However, there were a few things which made this experience far from five stars. The price is quite high, I understand Amsterdam is quite expensive but even for Amsterdam I felt like the price was quite a lot. The food was good but the portions were quite small considering we spent almost €50 on four tiny tacos. The interior design is very beautiful and cozy, however, we were seated against the wall in what seemed like a waiting room with a tiny side table against the wall. When we arrived we were initially asked if we had a reservation and we said no, so we were told our choice was to sit at the bar or sit at the small tables. This is completely understandable as I understand places like this can be very busy so we were happy to sit at the small tables as we assumed it’s very busy with lots of reservations. However, as time passed, we noticed that almost all of the tables and booths were empty with no one sitting in them so we wondered why we were told to sit in these uncomfortable small tables when there was an abundance of tables free. I assumed many people might not have turned up for their reservations but it felt a bit strange. A part of me wondered if it was because we weren’t Dutch as there was a slight cold feel from the waiters that I couldn’t shake off which really dampened...

Not worth the visit. We were searching for a restaurant that serves tacos, and after some searching, this spot came highly recommended. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype.

The interior is undeniably pretty, with a stylish and inviting atmosphere, but that’s about where the positives end.

To start, when we sat down, we were "offered" water before placing our order. We later found out it was charged to our bill without any mention, which felt a bit sneaky. While it wasn’t a huge deal for us, it’s something to be aware of.

The menu itself was quite limited, with combinations we weren’t familiar with, but we decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the Pollo à Verde, and my boyfriend got a quesadilla.

When my dish arrived, it looked beautiful, but it wasn’t what I expected. The chicken was served with just a few nachos on the side. Worse, the chicken was pink inside, and the texture felt off when chewing. My boyfriend’s quesadilla was no better, it was rubbery and difficult to eat.

The only highlight of the meal was the cocktail, which was well-presented and tasted great.

Overall, this place fell short of expectations. While the decor is lovely, the food didn’t meet the mark, and I wouldn’t...
