Pompa — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Nice little Italian restaurant near Museumplien. Yummy food! We came here for our first dinner in Amsterdam. The service was very friendly and helpful, and the food came fairly quick except they forgot my sister’s food at first😡. But it’s ok 😇 I got the avocado salad and jt was quite delicious. The atmosphere was dark where we were seated, because we were in the den-like section of the restaurant. I would have liked to sit outside, but I was not asked my preference🙄 However this did not matter because we had a very splendid Waiter. I can not recall his name but he was wearing a a white button up shirt and had blonde hair and a nice accent. He was very friendly and tried to make us drink but I’m 14 so I declined. Our food was well made and thoroughly cooked. My food (avocado salad) as delicious, and I additionally got the side of grilled vegetables which was yum yum. There was quite a bit of eggplant, and I would have preferred less. Here is what my family thought of their meals. S: pesto tageliatelle with chicken. “It was delicious and I could not stop babbling on about how good it was!!!!!” V: declined to answer M: truffle pasta. ”it was delicious” C: chicken caesar salad, salmon steak. “Salad was good. And they followed my request to remove croutons since I am gluten free. The salmon had too many bones:( Forma, yet delicious”

One more final thing that I must speak about is the bathrooms. Really nice lemon scented soap from the Amsterdam native brand Marie-Stella-maris and good hand blow dryers. HOWEVER the men’s urinal is open for all to see and severely traumatized me. ☹️ Overall I do recommend...

Very very much disappointed but it's a pity as this place has a potential.

We visited randomly based on Google search and decided to have a lunch on Saturday afternoon after strolling Vondelpark.

The place is cozy and nice with clean toilets which is a plus. After we have been seated upstairs, we have been brought the menu cards and after that waited for the order to be taken very long. The appetizer came before the glasses of wine and when we were barely done with the appetizer, the main dish was coming and it was extremely rushed almost like they needed space for other guests.

The ravioli limone were fantastic but the price for 8 ravioli for 27€ was a little bit too much.

The biggest disappointment was carbonara of my boyfriend. It came completely cold, looks like it was waiting for my ravioli too long to be served together. When we complained to the young waiter, he asked the kitchen and we got a new portion. Well, not better one. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce was like water and the taste was like powder cheese, very artificial taste. We would have been waiting for longer if we know it's getting better unfortunately this was a big fail.

Although the staff is smiling, is clearly inexperienced-one lady does not make you feel welcome at all, the other tries her best and the gentleman was the best. Unfortunately we left with extremely mixed feelings and never will be back. Missed chance, I...

First of all I want to say the food is really nice but BEWARE of the night waitress!! Here my story: I was in a business trip in Amsterdam, I went there to dinner one night but the waitress was not nice at all (but I did not care too much). Then I went next day at lunch time and the owner a SUPER NICE italian? man was excellent in his service, very kind (he helped me charge my mobile while eating). Then I returned in the evening the same day again (3rd time in 2 days), I sat and then this same waitress (of the previous evening appeared) but instead of saying "Hi or Good Evening" to each other the first thing she mentions to me was "you could at least say hello when you enter a place" (all of this in the same bad mood as the day before). I asked her again what did she said, and repeated it. Honestly I could not believe it, i was just arriving and sitting on the table... I asked her if she was the owner and said "yes it is me". She started arguing angry in front of the next customers..UNBELIEVABLE!! I would NEVER believe an owner would treat clients with such disrespect. Then I ordered a salad without cucumber (I am allergic) and guess what! Yes...it was brought with cucumber. A shame for the owner to have nice food but at the same time TERRIBLE...
