I am a neighbour so a bit biased possibly. But I am really fed up with the constant screaming on the terrace. People are sitting next to eachother but still feel the need to yell like lunatics all night.
Edited after response: appreciate the answer, but it is not entirely adequate. I have checked more than ten times where the noise is coming from and it is not from scooters or people passing by. It is constant screaming from your guests. I know, I know there is alcohol involved and what can you do as a bar to prevent people from screaming? Well not a lot and that is the whole point. You bring those people there, but barely take any responsibility for the annoyance they cause. A host will most likely not work in practice and policing people all the time is not doable. So, I would suggest taking logistic measures, one of which you already seem to be open to (switching terraces). Or maybe building some more physical barriers between the terraces and our bedrooms. It is honestly quite a torture to be robbed from your sleep on a daily basis and it makes me want to pull some strings to close down...
Read moreShameless rip-off during the Prik Pride Street Party on August 6, 2022. The bills were too high, I should pay 64€ for 4 large beers and two large gin tonics, although 4 times 6.50€ + 2 times 14€ are just 54€, which is also already very expensive. If you add to this 6 times 1€ for the cups, you get MAXIMUM 60̇€. But the biggest scam was that they charged an extra 1€ per cup, and as soon as you tried to return the cups, they told you that it was not a deposit, but that you had bought the cups! I watched for a while the conversations that took place at the counter between the bartenders and the customers when cups were to be returned, and several customers were quite upset. But you don't want to have your mood ruined on a day like this, so most grudgingly accepted it.The party was otherwise pretty cool, also the DJ did a very good job and the stage show in front of the DJ booth was great! But be careful with the bartenders and the drinks, they want to systematically rip you off. That's a real shame - and unnecessary. On one of the photos I added you can see the bill for four beers and...
Read moreClaustrophobic place with Eurotrash décor and bratty college-age waiters who appear to have fully embraced the age-old Dutch practice of jipping your clients.
One of us got a round of shots from the bar, on his way back to our table he lost his balance and the liquor poured out of the glasses and onto the tray and the sidewalk. We didn't drink a drop of it. Given the 80-90% margins these people make on drinks one would have expected them to give us new round, but instead we had to pay another 20€ for 3+1 shots (buy 3 get one for "free").
Anyway, I wasn't paying for overpriced drinks in a bar that looks like a set piece for Barbie's dressing room, but my partner did, despite my objections.
On the plus side, I have no idea what music they were playing, which means it wasn't noticeably terrible.
