My partner and I came to the cafe hoping to enjoy a relaxing snack and coffee beverage after strolling through the museum. After we were sat, we waited and watched as a couple was sat next to us moments later. The hostess muttered “there’s the exit” as we sat down and immediately left a bitter taste in our mouths. The neighboring couple’s order was taken for beverages and food, their drinks came, and eventually their food had all arrived before our order was even taken. Other parties also had been greeted, sat, etc. before we had the chance to order. We simply ordered two iced lattes and the bread and butter. As the bread was brought to our table, the waiter “dropped” the butter off the plate onto the table right in front of me, which seemed fully intentional. He gave a halfhearted apology and we were never offered to be refunded the money for the snack. As an openly gay couple and someone that presents as relatively feminine wearing acrylic nails, I didn’t feel welcomed in the space and felt disregarded as a paying customer. I will not be returning for...
Read moreCoffee and cake came ong time before salad. Cesar salad made with chicken thigh with skin. Not chicken breast. Bad for calorie control. And yes I read that they dont clean the table , SO TRUE ! They bring you to the table before cleaning and you re tire after walking in the museum of course you sit when they bring you to the table. But if you re seated they assume that the table is clean and whatever on it belongs to you ( see the bottle next to my meal and a drop on the table , and some crumbles , they are from the last person ) . And of course salad was long , and coffee was cold. I asked for reheat. They took it away and forgot about me until I finished my cake and called a waitress to remind her .
And you need to scan the code on the table to order online. They dont do hand order . BUT the app online didn't work on the cake. ( verified by the waitress ) so they did it the traditional way.
Over all it's a waste of time.
A Cesar salad , a latte, an apple pie 24.5 euros . I guess if you re from Paris or London. This is...
Read moreHorrible place. Spoiled all the impression from the visit of the museum. First, be prepared for to stand in a line to enter (no place to sit for elderly visitors!!!). Second, the menu is all through the app, you choose based on a tiny screen dish and you pay, then you will get your dish. It took us half an hour to order that way. The app was lagging, then didn’t accept the payment app, then wifi didn’t work, then you had to do all over. No help from the waiters at all. Finally when we ordered we received our coffee, and no meal. When the coffee got cold, the meal arrived. It was so hot that we burned our mouth. When I complained to the waiter that the coffee got cold, the waiter said that its all served separately (but to order a coffee separately through that app is a torture!!!) One star only for the meal, as it was good (besides being extremely hot). The menu is somewhat fancy, lots of strange vegan dishes. The only “classical” meal we found were meat balls, typical for the Netherlands. It’s a shame to have such...
