Take A Wok — Restaurant in Amsterdam

We had the rice with Bangkok sauce and asked for only mushrooms (no meat / no tofu/ no protein). But the wok came with lots of vegetables which was good but unexpected as it's not mentioned anywhere and EGG which is mentioned very tiny on the menu (tbh I saw it online now). The staff started arguing with us when we complained that we did not want eggs and it's not mentioned anywhere. They said you need to tell us you don't need eggs as all our work comes with EGG. But it's not mentioned anywhere we argued so are we supposed to dream that they put eggs in every wok of theirs? Be mindful while ordering. We ended up buying another wok cause they did not want to agree and accept their mistake. They really need to mention it properly on their menu specially cause it's very tiny and we had ordered a completely vegetarian dish!! The least they can do...

Literally the best wok I’ve had in europe without exaggeration. Love the freshness of the food, and very tasty food without being too salty as most of the chinese food I found. Reasonably priced, but the portion is enough for a man like me. Had it with noodle, glass noodle, and rice last time, all of them work well with asian sauce. It says the sauce is spicy but I found it ok. The chef offered us to have it spicier but we asked for separate chilly oil for us to add the strength of the spiciness. The service is good and they are very friendly. To sum up how good the food is, we went for lunch, and later we decided to detour and have another visit right before we flew back to UK. We loved this little hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant on Overtoom, where the cook does his magic with the wok in the front window. You can order a dish from the menu or choose the specific ingredients you want -- various kinds of noodles or rice, various kinds of meat or other protein, vegetables, toppings, and so on. We tried the Krabi chicken and the Shimi Shimi, and both were terrific. I was unable to eat more than half of my very large serving, although my husband devoured all of his.
