I had the good luck of visiting on King's Day, when there was no queue. I refuse to waste my time in queues, so I hope the next time I pass by there is no line here.
This store is not for everybody, but for those who wish to experience quality culinary pride in the full potential gelato has to offer. The burrata and wine ice cream were excellent.
Marketing guru Seth Godin was spot on when he said that a key goal for any business is to be remarkable: to have other people remark about your services. By serving irregular flavours and going the extra mile in delivering a superior gastronomic experience, Miuz has certainly set a strong foundation for future success.
The personnel was friendly, and the shop itself was tastefully decorated. I particularly appreciate the pricing system: it is a high entry price for the first ball, but the subsequent ones are cheaper. Consider the time and experience and ingredients that go into their gelato, it is a fair price -- especially when you account for the rent prices (both rent for the store itself and the wages for workers).
This is the best ice cream Amsterdam has had since Ola Lanko's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt think any high-quality icecream is worth being treated the way our server treated us, like we were sub-humans. Seemingly because we brought in kids. I wonder if she knows where she is even working š¤
However fancy it may be, itās still an icecream shop, and kids like to eat icecream. Shouldnāt be a huge surprise. The other worker there seemed quite nice so I wish we had her instead of ours. Ours was wide in the face and with dark hair, didnāt look for a name.
As for the icecream itself, sure, fine, whatever. The prices are through the roof so itās not necessary or welcome to add a deflating interpersonal experience into it. Itās no better than other icecream places priced at about 2/3 the price of this place. My friend didnāt even receive the so-called amazing flavour she initially came for anyway, being scolded and brushed aside in the ordering process.
Inside it is echoey and uncomfortable to be in, but not bad. Outside it is on a busy street of traffic, bit of a wind tunnel. Either are less than ideal. I havenāt been able to grasp what is so exceptional...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have mixed feelings about Miuz. First of all, I appreciate their packaging when ordering for home, and I like that they offer a 350ml option, while Massimo Gelato only has 500ml. The staff at Miuz are always sweet, and I love the interiors of their stores. However, not all of their ice cream options are delicious. The Pistachio, Gianduia, Tiramisu, Vaniglia, and Mastic flavors are very nice. The Matcha is fresh and flavorful, but only if you really like matcha, as it has a strong matcha taste. Personally, I prefer Massimo Gelato's Hazelnut over Miuz's Nocciola, it has a better flavor and includes chunks, which I enjoy. One downside for me is that the ice cream at Miuz is very creamy, so it doesn't satisfy me as much. In contrast, Massimo Gelato's ice cream is thicker and I love that consistency. Because of this, I usually go to Miuz if I'm in the neighborhood or if I want to order 350ml for home. Otherwise, Massimo Gelato is my go-to. Donāt get me wrong, Miuz is still nice and it's worth trying if...
