Trattoria Toto — Restaurant in Amsterdam

This is the first time I have felt compelled to write a negative review about any restaurant. They only had one server/waiter at the time. We waited over 30 minutes and did not even receive any water or drinks. I sat near the kitchen window where the chef was cooking the food. Some boiling hot water splashed and hit my eye. When I tried to close the window, I was met with glaring looks from the chef followed by the waiter yelling at me to open it back up, EVEN AFTER I explained what had happened. Absolutely NO apology given. NONE. They did not try to move the table or fix the issue. Terrible management. Left immediately. Did not eat here. First time we had dinner at this restaurant we were quite disappointed about the pasta and the dessert so we left a review on IENS explaining what we did not like but also saying that we really appreciated the vitello tonnato. Today we went back to get a vitello tonnate but the guy recognized us and he kicked us out because of the review. Liked the ambiance - small, cozy, intimate. Myself and my husband had 3 courses, all excellent. Mixed green salad was very good with fresh vegetables. Bread was warm and seemed freshly made with fresh tapenade. Ravioli tasted home made and was really good with large chunks of mushrooms. Frutti di mare linguini was also really good. Pasta perfectly cooked. Dessert was also good. Tiramisu had great texture and nice mild flavor. Our server was very attentive. He was enthusiastic and seemed very proud of the food, I wonder if he was the owner. Place was fairly busy for 10pm...
