Uncommon is definitely one of the best brunches I've ever had! There's no other name that better describes the brunch experience than "uncommon". The açai we ordered (and I assume all of their other dishes) is nothing traditional and it had a twist to the traditional açai. It obviously contains the basic ingredient (açai) but it also includes different and unique ingredients that are very well-elaborated (with specific preservation and elaboration processes) and that just fit together perfectly. The overall combination of the ingredients made this açai unique and definitely unforgettable to the taste. I especially loved the salsa at the base (nutty sweet taste, amazing when combined with the rest). The oat latte we ordered was of considerable size and, despite the bigger size, it was perfectly served and neither too weak nor strong, perfect balance of flavours. Amazing coffee!!! The staff were super nice and accommodating. At lunch time at the weekend it can be a bit busy and chaotic but the staff take note of the customers to accommodate them whenever there's space for them. So, make sure to go with no rush because the experience is well-worth it and we were accommodated within 20 minutes of wait. We were first sat on a side table and the waiter offered to be relocated to a full size table if we wanted whenever there was availability. After 5 minutes, he relocated us. We couldn't have asked for a better brunch experience, we'll make sure to return to try their seasonally changing uncommon menu. Their baked treats at the counter look amazing too, especially the cardamom buns. One açai and one oat latte costed around 20âŹ, so it's a bit expensive but when you try it, you realise that the quality of the ingredients are well worth the price and it's average to Amsterdam prices. Also, the presentation of the dishes may make you think they're too small for the price but it is just due to the arrangement of the dish (which is also uncommon), the dishes are very filling. They also sell their own coffee beans at affordable prices...

Uncommon CafĂ© is the kind of place I wish existed everywhere. My partner and I stumbled upon it by chance while walking from our hotelâand it turned out to be one of the most memorable meals of our trip.
What makes this café truly special is its use of thoughtfully sourced, uncommon ingredients from around the world. The attention to detail in both flavor and nutrition is evident in every bite and sip. We enjoyed a beautiful spread: black tea from Nepal, a perfectly balanced cappuccino, black rice congee (VG & GF), and a nourishing bowl (VG & GF), along with a side of freshly baked bread.
The black rice congee was a standoutâchipotle confit mushrooms, homemade rayu, crispy lotus, kombucha-pickled fennel, and sunflower cream created an explosion of textures and flavors.
The nourishing bowl was just as satisfying: white bean soup, fermented chili-roasted cabbage, roasted Jerusalem artichoke, chive parsley oil, crispy lotus, and purslaneâcomforting and invigorating all at once.
The menu is detailed, transparent about sourcing, and beautifully curated with seasonal, farm-to-table ingredients. Whether youâre sitting down for a full meal or grabbing a pastry and coffee to go, everything is made with care.
Uncommon CafĂ© is a refreshing, modern take on wholesome dining, and I canât wait to return on my next trip to Amsterdam. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates elevated, nourishing food in a cozy,...
Read moreShop present as a café with American style but French attitude. Seems like an understaffing with the high demanding still ongoing table service guest hanging environment but clearly can see a 5-headed team for an easy small environment even no experience staff can run this café. The limit for beans and coffee choice you cannot say it is coffee café more a as a shop that sells beans. The quality of what they serve in coffee is not high quality, but gladly it reflects on the price. Fair for the location. They only have 2 choices of filter coffee. It is pot brewed and not hand brewed. Got my takeaway coffee and the cup is fancy but very normal take away coffee cup. Therefore, it is hot. Pity the lid is plastic, what nowadays is so environmental highlighted topic. Will I come back... No not really there is nothing really that I will miss in this way. If they open up their choice of coffee and really focus on the coffee, I will come back. This shop is for me now an Instagram hot spot, without anything to post about, a more above average coffee...
