Toko Ikan Mas — Restaurant in Amsterdam

One of the worst places to eat indonesian food! Dont go to this place, you're better of somewhere else. Last week i did take-away and they forget one meal and still charged for it. Today I came back and told them the story: they didnt care. When i ordered today again they assured me everything was inside: when i got home they once again forget one meal?! Plus no pindasaus (peanut sauce) with the gado gado, also forgotten. Come on, what is this nonsense. This is fraud.

Then when I was waiting in line, a guy in front of me ordered a loempia (spring roll) but whenn he got his meal the staff forgot which type of egg roll it was. What the staff did: they opened the spring roll in half and then gave it back to him? The customer got made and walked away too.

Food is average but there are way better indonesion tokos...

Absolutely incredible Indonesian food. One of those hidden gems that blows away the fancier restaurants. We actually canceled a reservation at a sit-down Indonesian restaurant to go back here for another meal it was that good. The owners were so kind and generous as well, practically forcing us to try every meat they had on offer before we ordered! Great local spot in Amsterdam for a wholesome meal from wonderful business owners. The food is delicious, generous portion sizes and very flavourful. Very comforting to eat! Small space to eat in however the owners went out of their way to make sure we had somewhere to sit. Had a chance to chat with them and they were so lovely and kind. Please eat here and support a wonderful family...
