I visited the grill at Waterford Terrace and had mixed feelings about the experience.

The location itself has potential, especially with the beautiful view. There’s also a new indoor section with air conditioning, which is comfortable and well appreciated. However, the outdoor area looks a bit neglected and could definitely use some maintenance.

Service was ok, though overall the staff was friendly. I do appreciate that the bartender tried to change my beer when it wasn’t served cold the first time.

As for the food, it didn’t meet my expectations for the price. My tenderloin skewer looked and tasted like it had come from frozen, and the quality just wasn’t there. The fruit punch was also disappointing – not a real fruit punch. With the mandatory 10% service charge added, I felt the value didn’t match the experience.

Overall, the personnel was nice, but the kitchen quality really needs improvement to justify the pricing. Right now, it feels like you’re mostly paying for the view rather...

We sought out this place after dining here in 2018. I'm so glad they survived the impact of COVID and the drop in tourism to Curacao. Honestly, you won't find a restaurant with a more impressive view within a 15 minute walk from the cruise pier. Its really worth walking literally just off the beaten path to find this oceanfront, open air spot. We made a reservation online ahead of time and the restaurant was quick to respond by email. The server was attentive. When we didn't know what cocktail to order and just said surprise us with something pretty, he quickly whipped up a delicious layered cocktail. We ordered a surf and turf platter and everything tasted great. Our travel partners had burgers and sandwiches. Food was served hot and was excellent. Totally recommend for a friendly, laid back experience and the view can't be beat. Yes it's not fancy, but it's worth it to dine by the...

Our group of 16 people went here because a waitress said they would give us 25% off after looking at the restaurant’s menu next door. We decided to go here. As we started to eat the waitress then changed the deal to 15% off with a round of free drinks. They also brought us salads saying they were on the house. We were fine with this and ordered plenty of drinks and food.

After eating we received our bill which had no discounts, charges for the salads, and full prices for all the drinks. We had to argue with the waitress for 45 mins who said her boss decided not to give us the deal. We asked to speak to them and she said they were out of town. We asked to speak to a supervisor who was also “out of town.” Eventually she brought us back a bill with a discount but jacked up prices.

Food was not worth the lies, waste of time, and disappointing service. Do...

Disappointing. There are four restaurants in a row on the water's edge in this complex in Willemstad. We chose The Grill King because we were told the chef had been there for many years, so we thought it must be good. I chose the Marisqueria from the menu - "Grilled Shrimps, Fish and conch meat, combine with Grilled juicy steak, pork chops and chicken fillet". This was incredibly disappointing. The three meats were thin, not juicy and covered in a gravy/sauce that disguised any flavour. The conch meat has rubbery and I could not eat it. My bad choice. My wife had the salmon which was acceptable. This restaurant does have a good location on the end of the row, so you can watch the sun set on the water and see the cruise liners come and go.
