I'm posting this on behalf of my dad. Who never ever had called me to express his level of frustration and insatisfaction during his travel experiences.
Friday, 7th July. I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction and discontent with the service received at The Pancake Sensation restaurant during our visit to Curacao. This experience has been completely unpleasant and has ruined our morning of vacation.
From the beginning, the service was extremely poor. The waitress was incredibly rude, even going so far as to threaten us. She condescendingly told us that if we wanted to order an additional portion of pancakes, we would have to do it immediately, otherwise we would have to get back in line to enter the restaurant. The waitress's treatment and lack of professionalism were further evidenced when she started socializing with the neighboring table, completely ignoring us and, at the same time, making us feel intimidated.
It is regrettable that such situations occur in a food service establishment. Despite the food being acceptable, the service and customer attention were deplorable.
As customers, we expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, especially during our vacations when we seek to relax and enjoy ourselves. I am disappointed that this has not been possible at The Pancake Sensation.
Through this complaint, I hope that necessary measures are taken to improve customer service and prevent other visitors from having to face similar situations...
Read moredon’t usually write reviews, but this place earned it — and not in a good way.
The pancakes were mediocre at best, but the real disaster here is the staff. I’ve never seen such an unmotivated, indifferent, and downright lazy group of employees in a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I was inconveniencing them just by existing. No one greeted us, no one made eye contact, and they all moved like they were being forced to work at gunpoint.
Our server looked like she’d rather be anywhere else — rolling her eyes when we asked for water, sighing when we asked questions about the menu. At one point, I watched two employees literally argue over who had to take our table. Spoiler: neither wanted to. It took 25 minutes just to get our drinks, and I’m convinced they forgot about us entirely until we stood up to leave.
You’d think a place that serves breakfast food would have staff that’s at least awake and willing to do their job. But here, it’s as if the entire team had a silent agreement not to care about customers or quality. Maybe they’re hosting a contest for “Most Reluctant Employee of the Month”? If so, it’s a tight race.
Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. These pancakes are not worth the attitude and complete...
Read moreUpdate: Although I could not try the restaurant on the first day due to the power failure on the island and the second day, due to a problem with their system, the owner did reach out to try to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, we were already leaving the island the following day. I changed the service to four stars due to the owner’s outreach.
Original post: I wanted to give this place five stars but we literally waited for 25 minutes while the service totally forgot us in the corner. We had to flag down one server to even get the drinks and she said we had to order our food with the other server. Then we were asked if we wanted to wanted to wait since the system was down but they were trying to get it back up. we said yes. I asked for a refill on the iced coffee for the wait and was told I’d have to purchase another. We waited another 30 minutes and finally we asked was the issue resolved? The original server said the system would not be back up. So after waiting almost 1.5 hours to only have iced coffee is sad. The first time we attempted this place the island lost power. So can’t speak to tue food, only the poor...
