Date: July 30, 2025 Current (overall) Google review reads: +485.000 Day: Wednesday evening Review start (this time in English). --------------------------- To start with: we often enjoy Greek food! Today, due to time constraints, we chose this restaurant in Eindhoven. We were warmly/friendly welcomed and seated as one of the first guests on the terrace. Very positive! After placing our order, we waited approximately 40 minutes, while guests who arrived later were already served. When we pointed this out to the waitress, we were given an apology, but our food didn’t arrive for another 20 minutes, just as we were about to leave (approx 1 hour). Unfortunately, the food was very, very disappointing (23,- euro per portion): - Served lukewarm. - Old lettuce (keep in mind that my camera automatically enhances colors; see photo). - Somewhat uncooked rice (1 scoop). - Tasteless meat (seasoning was inadequate and dry). - Small portions (compared to other Greek restaurants). - No welcome ouzo drink (€3.50 on the menu) or carafe of water, as is customary in a lot of Greek restaurants. - Overpriced for the quality offered (€3.50 for a glass of cola that barely fills half the glass, see photo). - The price-to-quality ratio is poor. We ate what was edible and left the rest as is. We asked for the bill and had to wait again! When paying, the waitress asked if everything was to our liking. Our response was no, and we offered honest feedback. The waitress replied that we should have mentioned it earlier so they could have prepared something new quickly. I explained that we were on a tight schedule due to an appointment and didn’t want to wait again after our previous experience. She also claimed the lettuce was freshly prepared in the kitchen (see photo), but having worked in a kitchen myself, I can confidently say that brown lettuce is never fresh (this was old "mise and place"). Summarized: this was a very, very disappointing experience. After paying, we left quickly to attend our appointment. Of all the Greek restaurants we've visited, this was by far the worst experience for us. And no, offering apologies and a free drink (which was barely half a glass) doesn’t cut it for us. Maybe this was an error, but in that case, I would have immediately scrapped the bill and accepted the loss as a restaurant, no questions asked (managing by exception).

I think it was a very cozy place. But we went there with colleagues on a busy day so the service was not so great. There were many different staff members helping us and most of them were very friendly. Here is the story. After we ordered our food. We waited for quite some time, perhaps more than 45 minutes. As I said, it was a busy day. One staff was holding two dishes at his hands, standing at our table and speaking out the names of the food. No one knows what they were… because we don’t speak Greek or Dutch and we just couldn’t link our choices with the corresponding names, so he couldn’t put the dishes in front of the person who ordered them. So we asked whether we could get the menu again to be sure. Then he was instantly showing his frustrations and we also felt bad. We wish we knew the names, but unfortunately not. Then we got the menu and we had to point to him what we ordered again. Finally we all got what we ordered. Good presentation. Also tasty. But I think it was overpriced (perhaps due to the inflation that we need to accept the fact that you pay 30 euros in Eindhoven per person to just have an okay dinner experience.) Anyway, good place to hang out together, but make sure you remember the name of the food you ordered, otherwise 45 minutes later you got a frustrated staff… Of course this experience is personal, and I fully respect others’ opinions.

We didn't book a table, but were asked if we did upon entering. Online booking wasn't possible so we figured we'd had to call. Luckily there was a table available for us until 20:00 (since from then that table would be used for a reservation.) When receiving the menu we also each got a shot glass of Ouzo - which I never had before and didn't know about this custom to have it before the meal. I didn't shot it properly so it lingered a bit on my tongue but I didn't dislike the taste. I had ice tea green (which is here from Fuze tea, not Lipton). I ordered Filetto Aphrodite: tenderloin. I could exchange the green beans for tzatziki. The meat and mushroom sauce were delicious. There was also rice with tomato sauce on my plate. Fries and salad were included as well. The interior is beautiful! The staff was very attentive, all of them. Really would like to return here and try more of their grill and traditional dishes!

During my initial visit, I was greeted with a delightful experience - swift service and dishes that were not only flavorful but arrived promptly. This positive encounter left me eager to return. However, my subsequent visits proved to be nothing short of a disappointment. On each occasion, I encountered a litany of issues: prolonged waits for food, lackluster service, and even instances of undercooked dishes.

Given my extensive background in the restaurant industry spanning over a decade, I empathize with the pressures that come with the territory. Nevertheless, I cannot overlook the fact that on one occasion, my family and I found ourselves waiting for nearly four hours, two tired children nearly asleep at the table. This level of wait time is simply unacceptable.

In a final attempt to make sense of this, I felt compelled to inquire about the recurring issues. To my dismay, the explanation provided was that the restaurant was experiencing a particularly busy period. While I can appreciate the ebb and flow of business, it is imperative that establishments manage their operations effectively to ensure a satisfactory dining experience for...
