We had a really great experience at Soju Bar in Eindhoven! It was our first time visiting, and we were excited to try their Korean fried chicken and soju. We ordered a few different items to get a good taste of the menu, and everything was delicious.
First, we tried their âGo to Hellâ chicken, which is their spiciest option. We love spicy food, but we appreciated that they offered to serve the spicy sauce on the side so we could adjust the level ourselves. That made the whole experience more enjoyable because we could control the heat while still tasting the full flavor. The sauce was rich and definitely had a strong kick!
We also ordered the Garlic Soy chicken, which ended up being our favorite. It had a great balance of sweetness and garlicâvery addictive! The Gangnam Style flavor was another highlight, a bit tangier and very satisfying. Itâs clear they put a lot of thought into their marinades.
On the side, we got the beef mandu, which were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. A great addition to the meal.
To drink, we ordered soju in two flavors blueberry and peach. Both were refreshing, but we especially loved the peach one. It was smooth and had a nice fruity taste that paired well with the food.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was cozy but vibrant. Weâll definitely be coming back to try more. Highly recommended for anyone craving Korean...
Read moreThis time was only the second time I ate here, not very familiar with all of the menu. We ordered spicy kimchi mandu and a waiter brought us a mandu and kimchi (separately), and then another waiter was about to give us another mandu again. So I said, we only ordered one mandu. So, both of the waiter rechecked it together and gave us the right mandu we ordered but they did not take the kimchi so we thought that the mandu came with the kimchi (because the menuâs name is spicy kimchi mandu), although I thought that kimchi should be inside the mandu. But since they have checked it, I thought that was right. In the end, I have to pay extra for the kimchi that I didnt order. I told him, it is ok for me to pay but I told him that actually he gave me wrong menu and I didnt know until i saw the receipt. But he said,âyes but you ate it already so you have to payâ and he didnt say âsorryâ at all. And I had to argue with him, i wanted to hear a âsorryâ from him because it was partly his mistake! But he kept giving the same answer âyes, but you have eaten it so you have to pay itâ. I told him many times,âyes it is ok for me to pay, but we didnt order this!â. I just want to get a good gesture from him as a bediening, but it was a disappointment. He still didnt say sorry at all and only ask me to pay. Very unpleasant experience. It must be improved otherwise it will not be a nice experience...
Read moreQuite a mediocre experience. When I arrived, I asked a waitress about some allergens, since there are certain foods I canât eat. This girl showed a certain "intention" to inform me (she went to get the allergen menu), but definitely not to help. We agreed that I would order a dish with a sauce substitution â fine. I asked if the sauce could be served on the side instead of on top of the dish, and they told me they would charge me extra for it! The same sauce. Thatâs when you start to see how things work at certain places.
When they brought the dish (which wasnât bad), it turned out it had ingredients and sauces that were not listed on the menu. It's absolutely clear that if Iâve told you I have intolerances and weâve already had to modify an ingredient, showing up with a dish containing a random sauce is going to be a problem⌠Given the staffâs lack of friendliness, I decided to just eat it: I had the worst night Iâve had in a long time.
In restaurants, it's important not only to cook but to take care of diners, and they clearly did not do that here. I asked for a glass of water and they said no (which I believe is directly illegal) â they only offered water at âŹ3.50 per 200mL. Of course, I had to pay for it.
Bad experience; I wouldnât go back or recommend it. Iâm giving it two stars instead of one for the waitressâs minimal...
