In our weekend visit to Groningen we tried the herbivoor as it is right in the centre and had plenty of space while many other cafes were very full. Wooden interior, no special design, but friendly and welcoming. The menu changes and van be found on the chalkboard. Their food and drinks are organic and vegan. Read moreI m not into vegan at all. I think it is vastly overrated. However, we ended up here craving a tea or coffee. We decided on an orange/ginger tea. Our waiter inquired how we liked this tea. We weren't overly enthusiastic because it was a rather bitter drink. We suggested putting in an extra slice of orange to make the tea more refreshing. Our waiter promptly brought out slices of orange ( unasked for), and indeed, it spiced up the tea!!...

The vegi burger is a sweet potato patty. Nice, but certainly not even close to a burger (I've had amazing mushroom burgers and mash and lentil burgers that were much better)
Service was nice, but it did not compensate for the food.
