The amount of positive reviews are beyond me. Maybe it's a fine bar, but don't go there for food. The waitresses are breaking ground rules on basic rules of serving a table. First of all, if you're smart enough to ask a group of 4 If they only come for drinks or meal also, why not give us a bigger table to begin with if the answer is 'dinner'? Is the question only to give fork and knife? XD we were cramped! Rushing for drinks while we didn't even catch our breathes is not recommended. Drinks don't arrive at the same time (we couldn't toast 🥺) and the bread even comes before drinks. Can someone tell me what the point is of asking if you want a steak medium, rare or well done, when in reality all you get is well done? If you want to train your mouth muscles then the steaks may be something for you. (Jokes aside the steak was really dried out). Medium is universal, don't make something else out of it please. We ordered 4 fries which was way too much for 4 persons. If you count together the potatoes that comes with the main course... it says variety of veggies, but I'd say 90% potatoes and a small amount of vegs. So the meal was 80% potatoes and 20% steak. It would have been nice if waitress would've suggested that it was too much. Maybe stick to some beer next time. Wait, there's...

October 14th 2018: just ate here for the second time. Even better! We had a cured meat salad for starters, I had a rib-eye for main, rare like I asked, well done! (pun intended :P) I had the apple crumble for pudding. The apples in the crumble were cut brunoise and perfectly cooked. The ice cream was melting over the hot buttery dough. A culinary joy. I sighed to my messmate "This chef really knows what he's doing!". Thanks for the great meal :)

August 9th 2016: Ate here yesterday, friendly waiter and nice ambiance. Had mushroom tempura and salmon tartar for starters. Tempura was very very tasteful and delicious, a tad greasy. Salmon was great, but could use some salt. We both ordered the mixed grill for main, in one word fabulous! A big piece of ribs, soft and sticky, a heap of chicken fillet (that was too salty but full of taste), a skewer with steak and a mini burger. Fries could have been a bit more golden, but the coleslaw was lovely. Superb dish. We had the profiteroles and cheesecake for dessert. Again: fabulous. Wafers were too dark to our taste, a bit burned. Overall: big portions, super tasteful, a lot of variation. Coffee was delicious and so was the pint of Guinness I enjoyed. Definately...

Yesterday, my family and I celebrated my birthday at this wonderful spot. Our server was absolutely delightful—funny, charismatic, and incredibly hospitable. She truly mastered her craft! Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name.

The interior decor was lovely and reminiscent of my fond memories in the UK. And the fooood—it was seriously delectable! The portions are very good. One minor detail for the kitchen: my burger was a more or less well-done, but the toppings were lovely.

It was also my first time trying Guinness, and I was impressed our waitress tapped it the official way. I almost perfectly splitted the G. Oh, and she had a surprise for me; I highly recommend checking out my photos. I absolutely loved it!

To top off the evening, there was a live band, and everyone, including myself, was thoroughly enjoying the vibes. They were so good! I'm already planning to come back and try at least three different meals. With its diverse beer menu and laid-back pub atmosphere, I can't recommend this place enough. If you're in search of a casual and inviting pub experience, this is the...

Took my tour group here for dinner on Sunday night last October 8, 2023. We were a group of Canadians, and back home it was our Thanksgiving holiday. We weren't able to eat a traditional turkey dinner, but the roast pork belly was a great choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. My tour groups's meals all came out promptly but mine was delayed. The resraurant bought me a double irish whisky to make up for their tardiness. Should I bring another again.
