Pure — Restaurant in Groningen

I’ve been a loyal customer for years, but unfortunately today will be my last visit. Due to severe allergies, I always ask that my vegan donuts be placed in a separate container from the other pastries, and if its not too much of a hassle, using a clean scooper for the mentioned vegan donuts to avoid any risk of cross-contamination with other pastries. Most of the times I am met with annoyance.

We went in for frozen yoghurt for the kids, and coffee for ourselves. Then we saw the pastries, and decided to try a few. Unfortunately during COVID-times, so we had to take-away. The coffee (small Americano) I drank in the car. Hands down the best one I’ve had in a while, perfectly balanced between espresso and regular coffee. Upon our return home, I had the New York Cheesecake. Spectacular. Just that one word. My wife had the Brownie, and she was also over the moon. We also both agreed that the staff was exceptionally friendly and very service minded and customer oriented (a big THANK YOU for that!)

One of the best cafes in Groningen, if you visit the city then this café is a must. They have a wide variety of tasty donuts, cookies, cupcakes (red velvet is the best) and cakes. They also have yoghurt and frozen yoghurt and you can create your own custom yoghurt cup. Everything is homemade and the service is amazing, the personal are very nice and friendly. The place itself is cozy and enjoyable to sit in, however it is a bit tight and at times it gets very crowded which makes it a bit hard to walk, but all of that adds to the characteristics of the place which might not be an issue for you.
