The best French Toast in Leiden. I took 4 photos so you can see it from every angle. It's beautiful. It's delicious. It's everything you need on a rainy Sunday morning.
The coffee matches the quality of the food. Excellent.
The yoghurt needs to be a bit more naughty however. It tastes light half fat, when I go out for breakfast I want the full on experience. I added the maple syrup from the French Toast to the granola and boom! Perfection.
Great service, super lovely atmosphere. I'll be back soon with some mates. Good brunch is hard to find around these parts, well done!
Edit* We came back for dinner to try the menu but it didn't quite hit the same level of experience that the breakfast gave. The Entrecôte was underwhelming, under seasoned and the pepper sauce needed to be slightly thicker. It didn't stay on the steak. Check the photo and you'll understand my disappointment. The Chai latte had a thick foam topping with a warm mix of milky cinnamon taste in lovely large glass. It is perfect to keep you warm in colder days. It includes a typical Dutch cinnamon based biscuit that can be used dunking.
Highly recommended for its seating and decently priced food. Some of the outdoor seating, particularly on the boat, isn't...

The menu is very short now and that can be good, but that's not the case in my opinion.
The cappuccio we ordered was more like just coffe and milk combined.
We ordered two yogurt with fruits and we received a yogurt covered in an apple syrup (not present in the menu) that we sent back immediately because too sweet. They let us pay 21 euros for something we barely touched and that we wouldn't have ordered if specified on the menu.
It's sad because we used to like coming for our Sunday lunch there. But after this experience, we are not...
