TOURIST TRAP – AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

We had made a reservation, and even though we arrived on time, we were left waiting for over 15 minutes at the back of the restaurant next to the cash register. While waiting, we witnessed things no customer should ever see.

The waiters, with dirty hands (as they were wiping down tables with filthy cloths that are clearly never washed), were handling bread with bare hands, cutting it, and placing it directly on plates. We also saw them taking bowls of cheese from used tables and refilling them by hand without washing them before serving them again.

The owner of the restaurant, together with a waiter, was eating openly at the front counter in plain sight of customers, showing zero concern for professionalism.

The staff repeatedly asked guests if they wanted anything else, pushing them in an uncomfortable way. On top of that, we saw them moving people from one table to another to squeeze in more customers who were waiting outside.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. Totally unprofessional and unhygienic —...

We had dinner here on our first night in Maastricht. It was a charming, cosy and inviting restaurant. The young waiter greeted us warmly in from the rain. I am coeliac and vegetarian and they had gluten free pizza available for me. They also modified one of the starters to make it gluten free for me. All the dishes were delicious and the waiters were very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. We enjoyed it so much that we are going back for dinner again tonight! **Edited to add that we came back for dinner/lunch several times during our stay in Maastricht. The guys here were so welcoming and lovely each time and the food was more delicious with each visit. We will definitely come back next time we are in...

Had to change my 5 star rating...used to be my favourite restaurant in town but they seem to have fallen off. The food has smaller portions and no more free appetizers, bread and garlic butter which was super delicious, i really miss it. Last time i tried to book for dinner that evening and they told me to come a bit later. I waited and came but it was full. They made us stand next to the bar with 10 other people waiting. Of course we left and they apologized but they still confirmed a booking they shouldn't have. Otherwise the food is decent and the staff is mostly friendly but these small things make it not worth it for me to go there...
