Sende Aruba — Restaurant in Oranjestad (city)

I never do these types of reviews because I genuinely believe you can have bad and good days, since I’ve worked in the service/food industry for years, but what has happened to me here at this hookah bar was appalling. I waited over 40 minutes for our hookah, over 30 minutes for our first round of drinks, and each time the drinks came either one was missing or there was an extra. I can understand if this was a busy establishment and they couldn’t keep up with everyone, but we were one of three tables at the time, with us being the biggest group (six people). The service was so poor, that I took a pen and paper to write down our food order (they only serve fried finger food) and the waiter STILL had to come over 15 minutes later to ask me if I was sure of what we wanted.

Truthfully, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at an establishment. And I’m not a pretentious who expects perfect and fast service at the snap of my fingers. I’ve traveled the world and never experienced this before. Hopefully the owners see this and just do better next time.

The atmosphere was its only redeeming quality...

Had the most awful experience at this bar. I ordered a regular Margherita which tasted like bananas (awful). I requested nicely to have my drink changed and the bartender/owner was rude and ignored my request. He did absolutely nothing to address the situation. He was not a host but a coward and the first JERK/RUDE imbecile person I have encountered in Aruba.

I do not recommend this bar for drinks. If you are looking to have drinks that you can actually consume and be treated with respect, then stay away...

Service, music and delicious food. We had the opportunity to find Sende just by walking around in Aruba, after celebrating the New Year at our hotel and looking for more fun. The Manager Edward came out and was taking care of all the customers, since the place was full of patrons with a live DJ playing great music. We ended up going three times during our week long stay. Great vibes, friendly employees, and good music will definitely keep this place...
