Krave SXM — Restaurant in Philipsburg

We had the absolute pleasure of trying both the black bean burger and the tofu burger at Krave SXM, and we’re still dreaming about them! From the very first bite, it was clear that every ingredient was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and prepared with so much care.

What makes the experience even more special is that the owner and chef personally prepares the burgers right in front of you. You can literally see the passion going into each layer -from the perfectly seasoned patties to the vibrant, crisp veggies. There’s something truly satisfying about watching your food come to life just steps away from your table.

And the focaccia bread… wow. It’s made in-house, and it shows. Light as air, yet with just the right amount of chew and golden crisp edges -it’s like a cloud kissed by olive oil and herbs. Easily the best burger bread we’ve ever had -soft enough to melt in your mouth, yet sturdy enough to hold all the deliciousness together without falling apart.

This is hands down the best smashburger I have ever eaten in my life and I will die on that hill. This is my second time visiting SXM and I saw this burger in my dreams leading up to my trip back. The fresh focaccia, the flavor, the special sauce, the craftsmanship, it’s perfect. I will always make sure to come more than just once everytime I visit. This burger is so outstanding, my friends got one to go and freezed it so they could bring it home to their friends/family back at home. It’s a small place and the owner cooks it all right in front of you by himself, so naturally there’s typically a wait. Let me be very clear, I truly feel sad for the people I’ve seen walk out due to wait time. They are certainly missing out - more for me though I guess. Have some patience, and you undoubtedly will not regret it. Always a plus, the owner/solo cook is cool people and his metaficitonal menu always gives me a good laugh. He offers more than just the burger which I haven’t had the pleasure to try any of it but I’m sure are just as good. Oh my!!!!! So my wife and I took our 15 year anniversary on Cruise, Wonder of The Seas, along with a few family members as well. We came to St.Martin’s for our first stop. We came to this place for lunch wanting to try the Smash Burger’s…….IT. DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT!!!! The bread is home made, the meat is seasoned just right and the onions are smashed in with the meat right in the grill. The fries were awesome and seasoned just right as well.
