Casa Thai Streetfood Eendrachtsweg — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Like an oasis at the end of a long desert of mediocre food options, the neon lights of Casa Thai spoke to us. Just off Witte de Witt, this place gives chill vibes with upscale food that still somehow feels like a hole in the wall place you’d find down a Bangkok back alley.

The food itself is tremendous. The Moo Ping was the best thing we had on the menu: incredibly tender and seared to perfection. The Pad Krapauw was a great mix of spicy and sweet and definitely worth it. Then our mains of Tom Yum Mama & Boat Noodles brought a great contrast of flavors (one sweeter, one savory, both delicious) and were spiced to perfection. We finished with mango sticky rice that was the ideal compliment to the heat of the mains.

A few tasty cocktails later and we were feeling great. Henrik and his incredibly talented (and obviously way better looking) brother in the kitchen made the entire evening a special occasion. The service was attentive and kind, and the chef even came to check on us a few times. We even managed a few “ja super lekker”s in between scarfing down all the delicious food.

In all, 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back to try all the other delicious looking options...

Very loud and crammed space. Obviously there's absolutely no acoustic absorption and zero ventilation. They placed an untrained waitress on her own and the owner (or manager whoever the guy was) was very rude. We had a walk-in and clearly stated that we didn't have a reservation before getting seated. Waited super long to order drinks. Again was waiting for drinks to be served for some time while checking out the menu. The menu was already a bit of a red flag that comes with overpriced tags for small skewers. No clear identity, just taking a bunch of things from several different asian flavors. But we were already seated so decided to try anyway. Then this guy came over and kicked us out saying that the waitress made a mistake (said something stupid like it's her first day). No apology at all for wasting our time whatsoever. He made a scene like it's our mistake. Ridiculous. There are plenty of high quality, hip restaurants in Rotterdam. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Thai experience at CasaThai 🇹🇭

CasaThai completely exceeded our expectations! The grilled eggplant with Beef Pad Krapauw had that perfect smoky flavor that instantly stood out. The Panang Curry was wonderfully rich and properly spicy 🌶️—exactly how a true Thai curry should be. The crispy pork was beautifully crunchy, but the real highlight for me was the Som Tam Isaan (papaya salad) — one bite and I was instantly transported back to Thailand 😍

A special shoutout to Jaylisa & Jenny, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. The open kitchen adds such a nice touch — even from the bar you can enjoy watching the chefs at work, creating all those vibrant dishes.
