As a big fan of Thai food, this was my first time visiting a Thai restaurant in Rotterdam. Overall, the service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere.

Details:

The restaurant is relatively small, with outdoor tables separate from the indoor area. The inner part is located in a basement space, with tables lined up in a row and a bar and open kitchen on the opposite side, creating an open and lively atmosphere. The indoor vibe is very vibrant, with a stylish bar feel, and the restaurant also serves cocktails, making it a blend of a restaurant and a bar.

Food:

We started with fried pork belly as an appetizer, and for the mains, we ordered Pad Thai and Som Tam with chicken. We paired the meal with beer and a special Iced tea. The food was excellent overall, and it was hard to pick a favorite as everything was well-seasoned and of high quality.

The Pad Thai was sweet, with the ingredients blending harmoniously, offering a strong flavor. The fried pork belly was so delicious that we ordered it again, and the Som Tam paired perfectly with the white rice and chicken, creating a wonderful combination. I particularly appreciated that staff asked about the level of spiciness for the Som Tum, and they delivered it extra spicy as requested, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The rice was chewy and nutty, complementing the other dishes well. The food was so good that I was left wanting more after finishing the meal.

If I had to point out one downside, it would be that the portion sizes were quite small. However, given the outstanding taste and quality, it wasn’t a significant issue.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed, which is something I greatly appreciated, especially since it’s not always common in the Netherlands.

Came by celebrating our 20th anniversary. Picked and reserved a table on the day of the visit to Rotterdam. Had a heavy lunch at 13:00 so we reserved a spot at 20:30. Upon arrival the place was packed our table was being cleared and we were being seated at a 2 person table across from the kitchen/bar.

The atmosphere feels like a young restaurant which is well on its way of centering on its true identity. We like to see environments which are still in development and seeing the open communication between staff members. The kitchen itself is small but puts out orders and take-out at an alarming rate. Service staff was attentive and inquisitive about our requirements. The only service related comment is that small parts of orders seemed to get lost in the process. One sticky rice did not arrive at the table (not a big issue as we had over ordered slightly.) and we would have liked to have ordered an alcoholic and non alcoholic drink at the start of the dinner. However the drinks menu disappeared as soon as we ordered the non-alcoholic drinks. The two are minor points and especially the drinks one is a “weird” thing we like to do. The bar man across the bar was on point though and got us our tasty (spicy) cocktails soon after anyway.

The food was amazing. Starters were very tasty and not too big. Main where superbly seasoned, interestingly textured, rich and had depth. If we would have received the sticky rice it would have been to much. We did not see a lot of people eating deserts which is a big mistake. We ordered two of the three deserts which were like the mains; well balanced tastes, textures, rich with depth.

In summary a joy to see such a team create such an atmosphere, taste...

We visited this Thai restaurant today to celebrate our special anniversary, and it truly exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the warm and welcoming atmosphere to the authentic and flavorful dishes, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was beautifully presented and full of rich, balanced flavors that showed real care and passion in the cooking. Each dish was fresh, vibrant, and left us wanting to try even more from the menu.

What made this evening unforgettable was the outstanding service. Our server, Atsu, was exceptionally professional, attentive, and kind. From the very beginning he welcomed us with a warm smile, explained the menu with knowledge, and gave recommendations that turned out to be excellent choices. Throughout the evening, he was always present at exactly the right times—refilling drinks, checking in politely, and making sure everything was just right—while still allowing us to enjoy our meal and our celebration at a relaxed pace. Even with the restaurant being busy, Atsu handled everything gracefully and made us feel truly cared for.

Because of this wonderful experience, we have already decided that this restaurant will become our tradition for every monthly anniversary. It is not just a restaurant for us anymore—it is the place where we want to celebrate our love and create memories together month after month. We cannot imagine choosing anywhere else for such special occasions.
