Pizza Beppe Rotterdam Van Oldenbarneveltstraat — Restaurant in Rotterdam

We recently visited this restaurant for the third time, but sadly, it will be our last. Out of the four pizzas we ordered, one arrived with the crust completely burnt. When I asked the waitress if it was normal to serve a pizza in that condition, she insisted that it was “cooked properly.” My fiancé lifted the pizza to check the base, and it was even worse—completely black. At this point, the waitress responded with a snarky comment: “Oh right, because you’re Italian, so you know better, right?” That pizza was burnt by any standard, regardless of nationality. She eventually took the pizza back, but when they brought out the replacement, it wasn’t even the correct order. To top it off, the waiter denied that the pizza was wrong.

I’m speechless. What kind of service is this? This was our third time dining here, but we won’t...

We had a fantastic dinner at Pizza Beppe on Van Oldenbarneveltstraat. The staff was super attentive and genuinely kind, which set a relaxed and welcoming tone for the evening. Service was quick but never rushed — just the right balance.

The Tartufo pizza was absolutely delicious, but the real standout was the tiramisu. Seriously, don’t skip the tiramisu — it tasted like it was home-made.

The burrata was creamy and fresh — really tasty, though I would’ve loved just a bit more basil to round it out. Still, it was delicious overall and nothing to...

While the pizza itself was very tasty and the restaurant has this Italian corner shop atmosphere to it, the staff lost our order and we were left waiting for 45 minutes without once someone checking if we had ordered already. Mistakes can happen but with a full team of servers and an almost empty restaurant this left us disappointed. We were not offered anything in response to what happened so we ate our pizza and left.

We might come back but there are currently better options...
