Twenty7 aan de Maas — Restaurant in Rotterdam

Edited review February 2024: They brought the burger back + a veggie burger as well! Very affordable and tasty. Good fries. I'm all happy again! Thanks for listening to the customers :)

Edited review when I went again in November 2023: I have been a few more times to Twenty7 now, and sadly, they took the burger off the menu.

I had dinner at this place and noticed prices were raised quite some. The restaurant is going for a more exclusive atmosphere now, with high prices.

I decided to go for the cauliflower heart for 20 euros(!) because the rest didn't seem too appealing to me, and I was quite disappointed. Honestly, I don't understand how you dare to just serve a cauliflower heart, with some mashed potatoes and charge 20 euros for that. It is quite lazy (and saltless) cooking.

I took a group of 14 for dinner and to make it easy for the staff I decided to pay the whole bill, so they didn't have to split up the bill. Later, I found out that multiple items on the receipt were named the same (maybe from the old naming system). For me and the rest, it was quite difficult to figure out who had what, since some drinks and desserts all had the same name.

So whilst I tried to make it easier for the restaurant, they made it even more difficult for me. I hope they fix it.

I think this place is great for a drink and lunch and, of course, you can't beat the view, but dinner is overpriced for what you get.

Original review of July 2023: I've been here 5 or 6 times now and every time had a good experience. Especially the service is good and the people working here are very friendly and enthusiastic.

They have some good wines and beers, and the food is tasty as well. Of course, the cherry on top is the wonderful skyline view. A hidden jam that hopefully stays...

It was at a very nice location, a beautiful view just next to the riverside. The food is ok and we are surprised by the desserts. We did encounter some miscommunication and also mis-expectation, the owner had handled our feedback in a nicely manner. Strongly suggest to provide more training to the waitresses, because our main course was beef, ossenhaas, and none of us was being asked how we wanted it cook, and the answer of the waitress was simply they always serve the beef like that, which is the first time I have ever experienced it in the Netherlands. Yet, i am very impressed how the owner has handled our feedback, and i also like that they are supporting local businesses. On another lovely day I would recommend this restaurant and...

It is a wonderful place to sit. Next to the water with all ships passing. The atmosphere is great and the place has great potential. But then……

You order your meal and the big wait starts. Waiting and waiting. And it is not like the place is crowded, but it took 1 hour and a couple of minutes for the food to arrive. So then you hope the food was worth waiting for….

Then the disappointment starts. We had mosselen, served without any sauce. And we had the iberico fingers. I don’t know how they can sell this product because the oil used to frituur it was very old or they did put them in cold oil, because the bad oil smell and taste was all over it.

And to bad because it is a really great place. So for a drink it is good but avoid eating...
