Café Berger B.V. — Restaurant in The Hague

This is a nice place. The wooden interior is very warming and you immediately feel good after entering the café. They have a very wide selection of drinks here and not only alcoholic. I preferred something hot without alcohol and the service guy offered me a tea. I took earl gray and this was a high quality specialsort of grey tea in a pyramid bag in a nice cover with a meaningful quote "We do not remember days - we only remember moments". I like such things and the tea came with a caramel taste short bread abd was delicious. My husband returned next day because he loved the beers...

Our expectations were much lower than the actual experience which was great 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Berger is located in a highly touristic place. Nevertheless, it is quite calm so you can hear the wind in the leaves. A wonderful moment for a little rest Gastronomy: Starting with an amazingly large choice of IPS beer. We only ordered fish and chips to end our stay in the Hague. Both were great. Unfortunately we did not have time to order anything else. Service: very friendly, very fast, very cool, very attentive. Lekkere lunch gegeten via Social Deal. We waren met 3 volwassenen en 2 kinderen. Aangegeven dat het 3 gangen lunch menu misschien iets te veel zou zijn voor de kids. Hierin dacht de dame in de bediening van café Berger erg mee; geen soepje vooraf gedaan voor de kids en ipv 2 kroketten op brood, 1 kroket op brood. In plaats daarvan kregen zij een drankje naar keuze.

De uiensoep en tomatensoep waren heerlijk. We aten foccacia, een broodje carpaccio en dus kroketten op brood. Dit alles was heerlijk en vers!

De afsluiter viel wat tegen. We hadden een wafel met slagroom en aardbeien, maar de aardbeien kwamen of uit blik, of uit de vriezer. Niet lekker en glibberig en de sap ervan was in de wafel getrokken. De cheesecake was wel lekker, maar ook hier lagen Kersen uit blik op, jammer!
