Zèta — Restaurant in The Hague

Restaurant is only in the back and front is more of a cafe,which makes it all a bit loud because there are people standing at the bar and drinking. The ( vegan!) food was served beautifully and main course was delicious. Would also recommend the elderflower lemonade! The waiter was very friendly, but service lacked a little bit, not his fault though. It seemed like he was the only waiter for the entire restaurant for the evening so I couldn't really blame him that he was very busy. Still kept a smile though. Empty glasses and plates weren't actively cleaned from the table and piled up.

This could be an amazing vegetarian restaurant which we would visit many more times if it was less loud and seats were a bit more comfy to wine and dine for a longer period of time. Not enough space for larger groups (5). We'll probably still return once every few months to check whats new on the menu. But only for a quick dinner. Last winter the Pad Thai and Rendang were quite good, this april I'd recommend the celeriac steak or lemon gnocchi. Looking forward to seeing what's gonna be on the menu...

My vegan kimchi chicken burger was delicious, the other food ordered was rather average. Would give more stars if there was better service. It really wasn’t busy at all, but it took a very very long time for everything. When we arrived, we waited at the front to say that we had a reservation. There were 3 people making drinks behind the bar who saw us, but for a very long time nobody even made eye contact or said “I’ll be with you soon”. It’s nice to even just be acknowledged. When our food was ready we saw it waiting by the kitchen for so long that even the kitchen staff were getting annoyed and ringing the bell constantly. We asked if we can take the food ourselves 🤣 but they wouldn’t let us. There were empty tables everywhere. I get it sometimes you don’t have enough people working but it only takes a smile or an apology to give customers a better...
