I wish I could take away stars from the people who rated this place positively. I was extremely disappointed by the rude and almost racist behaviour of a bartender who refused entry to my Sikh friend for not removing his cap. For the uninformed, believers of Sikhism often cover their head with a turban or a cap. It’s their way of showing reverence to the faith. When the bartender asked him to remove the cap, my friend offered him an explanation as to why he couldn’t take the cap off, but the bartender refused to listen to him. When we pointed to several men( white) dancing in the crowd with their caps on the bartender said “ no discussion, leave”. The bartender didn’t care to explain why some people with the caps were allowed whilst my friend was not. I am sure he must have had a good reason but he didn’t think it was important enough to elaborate it. All we wanted was to enjoy a drink and groove, but the experience left us salty.
The management needs to clearly define the entry rules and apply them without any discrimination or bias based on colour or faith. Otherwise, I am certain incidents such as this will make this place extremely unpopular amongst the coloured...
Read moreThis is the first bar I have seen in the Netherlands that charges for visiting toilet. No matter if you had a drink or not. Just 0.30 euro, but isn't it ridiculous? You should be free to drink as much as you want, not thinking if you have any small change left to pay for the toilet.
I know you need to pay for the toilet in many fast foods in NL, but bars are completely different story.
It's even more inconvenient if you do not have cash at all. You can pay at the bar with a card, but you need to pay cash for the toilet.
Also they don't serve food. So in the end this place is good only as a concert venue. You may even skip buying drinks here, because you need to pay for the...
Read moreI used to love this place so much but the type of music really put me off last time. There was a live band until 1am and the music was in my opinion horrible we just wanted the 'dj' to start. However the time before this time the 'dj' (a barman who puts songs on the playlist) was very rude when me and my friends asked for some requests. We wanted to dance and party but all they seem to play is depressing rock music on which dancing is impossible. Also you have to pay for everything, coat storage and toilets. If you don't store your coat it will get lost! I lost 2 coats there already. Paap, please ditch the depressed rock band and get some happy music on...
