Pazze e Pizze — Restaurant in The Hague

On a weekend evening, we were eager to enjoy some delicious pizza served with CARE, so we decided to try Pazze e Pizze. Upon entering, we were greeted by a manager or team lead who seemed rather dismissive and arrogant, directing us to a table while several others remained unoccupied. When we inquired about seating in a cozy corner, we were met with a rude and discriminatory response, which immediately put a damper on our experience. However, our spirits were lifted by the exceptional hospitality of our server, a young girl whose warmth and professionalism were a stark contrast to the manager's behavior.

Despite the initial setback, we proceeded to order drinks and pizza. The tuna pizza we selected was wonderfully flavorful, a testament to the skill of the kitchen staff. However, we couldn't help but notice a discrepancy in the pour size of our wine, which our server attributed to the manager. This, along with the manager's seemingly arbitrary seating decisions, further reinforced our perception of a language-based bias.

Our disappointment deepened when two men entered and were promptly seated in the same cozy corner that we had requested, despite our earlier denial. This inconsistency in treatment only served to highlight the discriminatory nature of the manager's actions.

Despite these challenges, our server continued to impress us with her attentiveness and helpfulness, even offering recommendations directly from the kitchen. Unfortunately, our positive impression was marred once again during the payment process, as our request to split the bill was met with arrogance and resistance from the same manager.

Additionally, after our experience, I took the time to read other reviews and found similar accounts of rude behavior attributed to the manager, indicating a pattern of misconduct. Furthermore, the dismissive and defensive responses to negative reviews suggest a lack of willingness to acknowledge criticism and implement necessary improvements

In conclusion, while Pazze e Pizze offers delicious food and commendable service from certain staff members, the overall experience was soured by the unprofessional behavior of management. Until such issues are addressed, we regretfully cannot recommend this...

I normally don't write negative reviews but this time I'm quite disappointed. I really like the concept of pazze e pizze. I dined at the restaurant multiple times and always left happy. Receiving food at home is another story though. What you receive is always very inconsistent. Sometimes the pizzas are great . Sometimes not. This time for example the pizzas arrived very warm (so the problem was not the delivery) but you could immediately spot that it wasn't fresh slices but quite old ones. The dough was extremely dry and difficult to to chew, the mozzarella was almost transparent, this means that likely the slice was heated multiple times. The mortadella was old as it was not pink anymore but more of a greyish colour. The burrata was not creamy anymore and the pistacchio crumble became more like gummy candies. As an Italian with a background in hospitality I can spot this kind of things and I hope that some action will be taken as this restaurant is not the cheapest either (30€ for 4 slices) and for these prices this is definitely not the quality you deserve. Oh my goodness! I am EXCITED to write this review. Pazze e Pizza is by far the premier pizza bar in The Hague, with an incredible assortment of pizza choices, anti pasti's, and lovely desserts. This restaurant is suitable for a nice date with a couple, or a table filled with the family, for a affordable cost as well!

And the only thing more incredible than the food, is the kindness of the whole staff! From the kitchen to the servers, everyone seems to be in a great mood, and happy to have customers there. Every time I go, I get a kind hello from many of the people working there.

Also, the décor/style of the restaurant is very hip and stylish. Not to mention there outside terrace gets plenty of sunshine in the summer. Which makes the whole experience that much better.

Do not pay any mind to negative reviews, those people must have something wrong with their head. Go eat at...
