Despite the “China” in its name, what this place really is, is a “Dutch Pan-Asian” restaurant, which is a thing. They often offer a selection of Indonesian, a Chinese and Thai dishes, though all in very peculiar style, probably adapted for the Dutch taste. If you know and like this style, you’ll probably really like this place. However, if you are visiting, and you googled “Chinese restaurant” you’ll be surprised and maybe disappointed, especially if you compare what you get to, say a cheap family owned place in china town in London, San Francisco or even Berlin. We tried to eat at the nearby pizzeria, but there was no place anymore. We then found this typical 'dutch' Chinese restaurant, and went inside. There is a really nice atmosphere, and staff is helpful too. There are around 8 vegetarian options (separately listed on the Menu) which is great. As the food came, I was happily surprised. After many years away from Holland I was desperate for a good Dutch Indonesian meal. I found these guys through a Google search and while it was very quiet around 4pm they were very welcoming and put together a combination of dishes I was hanging out to try again. Delighted.
