Came here with my 6 year old niece and sister. white blonde chick looked like she was having a bad day and had the worst attitude when my sister was ordering a slice of pizza that they didn't even have so we ended up getting something else. There was no more parmesan cheese in the shakers so my niece went up and asked the blonde chick for more. The girl took the shaker, put it on the counter, looked left and right then looked back at my niece and said sorry we dont have any. We were sitting in a booth and i was facing towards them so I saw the whole thing. If lazy was a person, It would be that blonde girl for sure. My sister turned around and asked the other girl worker for the cheese and absolutely no surprise at all, she found a whole bag of cheese. I wonder how she found it but then I realised she actually looked properly and isn't as lazy as the first girl my niece asked. Bare in mind, it was like 630pm and my sister asked them (while they were having their conversations behind the counter) what time they closed. They said they close at 10pm. If you're having a bad day then go home and don't put it out on your customers. Worst customer service and to top it off, worst pizza. Read moreThis evening me and my husband went to sal’s mission bay store. No doubt the food is ok but my main concern is health and safety. The store is so dirty if I clearly says the main serving counter is full with dust and floor is so dirty and customer dine in tables are not clean properly. Most importantly the team members are using mobile phone while making pizza and even they are not wearing gloves to make pizzas. The main team members are not wearing full dress as per i know about food and safety gloves is most important while serving or cook food. This is so bad for health. We pay more money than other pizza store in back we deserve quality. People spent a-lot to store so i think owner takes some actions to overcome this and not doing these mistakes in future because it’s serious matter of health. This is owner team duty and responsibility to take care of everything. In total my first experience with sal’s mission bay is so bad and tottering disappointed. Read moreHave gotten food from here heaps of times and it’s ALWAYS been great but thought to make a point to mention this experience:
I called and made an order for my husband to pick up on his way home. Once he got home I realised the order was completely wrong. I went down to switch the sauces (my husband had already eaten some of the pizza that was made wrong so I wasn’t going to take it down with a slice missing).
They were so busy when I came in but the guys still gave me their attention and were incredibly kind and apologetic. They switched my sauce and compensated for the wrong order. This is all we can ask for in hospitality! Things go wrong and that’s ok. It’s the solution that matters and I appreciated their attitudes.
Not only is the pizza and garlic knots good, the service is great even when things go wrong! This says a lot about a place.
