I recently visited the BurgerFuel branch in Manukau, and I have to say, it was an overall great experience with just a few things worth noting. First and foremost, the quality of the food really stood out. The burgers are clearly made fresh to order – you can taste the difference as soon as you take the first bite. The ingredients are vibrant and full of flavour, and nothing feels like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp. The patties were juicy, the sauces were well-balanced, and the buns held up nicely without getting soggy. One thing I appreciated in particular is that their chicken burgers are made using free-range chicken, which is a big plus for me. It’s good to know that they’re making more ethical choices when it comes to sourcing their ingredients, and it definitely adds to the quality and taste of the meal. You get that clean, tender bite that’s hard to find in fast food. The staff were friendly and the service was quick despite it being a busy time when I went in. The place was clean and had that classic BurgerFuel vibe – edgy, modern, and well-kept. It’s a cool spot to grab a bite, whether you’re eating in or taking it to go. That said, the only downside for me would be the price. While I understand you’re paying for quality and the use of free-range meat, the burgers are a bit on the pricey side compared to other burger joints in the area. You’re easily looking at over $20 for a burger and fries combo, and that’s before any drinks or extras. So it’s not the kind of place I’d visit on a tight budget or for a casual everyday meal. But for an occasional treat or if you’re after a burger that’s a cut above the rest, it’s definitely worth it.

**30 aug 25- update Shake out Uber eats order Cheese burger, double cheeseburger, double royale (this reminded me of the Denny's millennium burger, back when it was good 😊👍), chicken burger, chicken bites, x3 fries, X1 cheesy fries, X1 choco shake and a coke. Didn't realise it was burger fuel, prefer this over last order. Fries were crunchy and well seasoned (my only critique is really a preference for the regular burger fuel fries as less oily) and burgers appear small and simple but are cooked (patty seared) and prepared well (not overly dressed). Shake is always yummy and the best. 😊👍 Found our meal over-all fulfilling. Will order from here as opposed to regular burger fuel menu going forward. 20/12/24- update** Ordered through the Uber eats app- -the spud fries w/ lemon aoli & kumara fries w/ aoli, the Ford freakout & v-twin vege burgers, oat thickshake & organic apple & feijoa. Apart from it taking ages to get to us from close by and arriving cold ❄️ 😔 (could be down to the Uber being out of sync & dual care undertaken in making our food) I enjoyed my vege burger more than my usual fave American muscle double & the choc oat shake, although I don't feel like it tastes as good as the reg dark choc thickshake. Spud fries were not a hit cold n couldn't tell which aoli was lemon infused.. Ordered the American muscle double & C n cheese burgers, kumara & spud fries, choppers & choc thick shake. All in all good, quite greasy. No aoli/serviettes supplied, which's pretty slack when it is meant to come with our side orders if fries & considering the overall money spent

It was a rare cold day in Auckland and this restaurant was cold inside despite heating being on full blast (inadequate). Metal seats that may look trendy but were uncomfortable and cold to sit on. Also no bathroom or anywhere to wash your hands, which for an eating place seems strange / wrong. To do so you had to walk to the local mall. Food was served in bags to our table, unlike other burgerfuel locations where they serve on trays. On the plus side, thankfully the food quality was fine and served with a smile / good level of service. The place was clean and tidy. In summary, it was OK especially if you want takeaways. But given the prices paid, a bit more attention to customer comfort and this would have been 5 stars. Next time I think I'll avoid this particular location but great as a pit stop. With free range meat as standard on the menu - its the only burger place we ever visit.

Customer service is vey poor. No greeting or any acknowledgement even if I was already at the counter. The girl (no name badge) working has her hair losely tied and hair was messy. She was wearing gloves she used for food prep and used the same gloves to use for the till and to pick up the phone (disgusting) (yes she picked up the phone while Serving me and without saying excuse me ) . No smile, no sorry for the wait. It’s like she doesn’t want to be at work and doesn’t want to serve. While serving me, put her mobile phone out from her back pocket and has the nerve to check it in front of me. How rude! No “here’s your change” - she just handed my money. Yes it’s a very poor customer service and she needs to be retrained! Your vegetarian Burgers and fries are my fave. I’m just a bit disappointed with my experience as normally when I come to other burger fuel stores, staff are pleasant. I visited the shop at 1:03 pm today 18 October. I’m unhappy and I won’t be coming back to...
