Absolute Rubbish! I know Korean food. It's one of my favourites. I had what was meant to be bbq squid on a sizzling plate. At least the plate sizzled. The red sticky signature Korean paste was diluted to hell. The squid itself I couldn't eat. It was just sliced chewy squid tubes and not the usual curly part of the squid. The rest of the dish was bulked up with cheap cabbage and not much else. No Kimchi. Two small sweet cubes of potatoes and a thimble full of tasteless coleslaw. When approached about this failed aweful offering, the useless uneducated housewife cook was impolite, ignorant, yelling, "look at board you wanted number 7". Of course I wanted number 7. What I got wasn't on the board. It was from some cheap cook taking advantage of the lack of culinary knowledge of the local clientele judging by the typical punter I saw there who wouldn't know the difference between any SE Asian cuisine. An annoying horrible experience made worse by the fact I remained hungry...
Read moreWe love Korean food and eat them regularly. So we were excited to try Korean Foods at Food Junction.
We ordered Beef Bulgogi and Squid. We looked forward to the side dishes which is a big drawcard for us when we eat Korean food.
Sadly what we were served tasted nothing Korean on 19th Nov 2020 in evening. When I saw the Thai or non Korean characters on glass / plastic counter pane, I should have been warned the stall may not be manned nor food cooked by Koreans .
The food were overly salty, my squid had baking soda bitter taste , and Bulgogi did not have the usual Korean taste but a very weird combination.
Our side dishes comprised of coleslaw with maybe Mayo , old potatoes that were dry inside and tasted like it was cooked 3 days ago, bean sprouts with carrots had no sesame oil taste.
Overall it was the worst ‘Korean’ food we have had in our entire life. We had to eat at Mac Donald’s after to...
Read moreSo I made the mistake of getting Korean food here before but what's actually worth buying is the Vietnamese food. Although they have no menu and no english for anything lol I managed to get two dishes. The Bun cha (soupless noodles) to make wraps, and a soup that I wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't pho, couldn't really tell ya but it was tasty and had nice slices of meat in it. Overall the dishes were pretty good, just the noodles i think were a little overcooked in the soup dish coz they broke too easily. If they can fix that it would be great and possibly have a few more greens on the dish. Each dish was $25...
