I’ve often smelt the delicious aroma from this place as I drove past but never stopped in until tonight. I’m really glad that I did!
Service was excellent from the very warm but not in your face welcome, to giving you just the right amount of time to look at the drinks menu and having the food appear promptly nice and warm.
On that note the food was excellent. To me it’s a mark of an excellent curry house where they can give a mild curry that is tasty and not salty. I was very pleased with my lamb korma. Not only was it very delicious each piece of lamb was lovely and tender. Rice came with the meal and I also got a garlic naan which was perfect. A lovely crispy bottom with just the right amount of fluffiness on top so that the garlic actually gets embedded into it and doesn’t fall off.
We also got the onion bhaji. Lovely, crispy, caramelised onion mixed with just the right amount of spice. Wasn’t oily or had clumps of spice like at other places. Would definitely get again.
Also the Hada Bhada kebabs had a great taste although they were a bit dry.
For drinks, I had the Chadhat passion. It was like a strawberry mango lassi without the tangy after taste you normally get. Would highly recommend.
Finally, atmosphere was great. Big large tables easily fits all the platters and very high back chairs create an intimate atmosphere at each table. The tables are also not crammed together like at other places which helps creates a cosy and private atmosphere at your table.
The downsides are really the limited parking out the front and the portion sizes. The curries were $15 and on that basis were well worth it but if you have a bit of an appetite you would be best advised to get an appetiser as well as it is smaller to compared to other places in the area.
If you’ve gotten this far, it probably won’t surprise you that I really recommend that you try this place out. It is definitely my new curry house...
Read morea group of three, we had a good night but I had concerns about the Hygiene. It started with the wine glasses being cloudy and dirty. I was observed cleaning my glass with my serviette yet no one thought it necessary to come and say "let me take care of this. next after our entree, the table was wiped with a dirty cloth causing the table to smell, we were seated at another table after I complained. Some time later I saw the same person who had served us and wiped the table earlier clean another table only to watch him spray the glass cleaner on the table, attempting to avoid spraying a plate and cutlery still on the table, then leaving it there for new customers to use without knowing that it is spayed with a healthy layer of glass cleaner... again I pointed out what I had seen and it was rectified but left me wandering about their practises when no...
