Nail Garden - Greenwoods Corner — Local services in Albert-Eden

Went to Nail Garden for the first time a few days ago, mostly because of the consistently good reviews.

Not sure who is in charge of replying to emails, but they really need to brush up on their customer service.

The ladies that work there are very polite and check in with you often, of that I have no issue.

However, the price-point of this place is high, and in my opinion, not equal at all whatsoever to the end result. Someone else mentioned in a similar review that it's a very mid result for the price you pay.

I paid over 200$ for a 'deluxe' pedicure and gel nails (cat-eye). The massage is lackluster at best, very very soft to the point I can hardly even consider it a massage. The polish job is also dodgy. Sure, they ask you if you like it throughout the service but I can't really see my toes at that angle from where I'm sitting. I was told the 200$+ price is due to a combination of time and effort spent. Time I can accept, but I've yet to see the effort.

I brought this up politely and professionally in an email, the most they offered was a 30$ refund, and there wasn't an apology anywhere in sight. When I asked for a full refund of just the portion of my pedicure, they said too bad. Take the 30$ or take nothing.

There was also a very foul smell while I was getting my pedicure and it took me entirely out of my appointment. I understand this is a sensitive topic that I tried to discuss as delicately as I could through email, but literally nothing in my email was acknowledged. I'm very disappointed as I expected better of a place with such good reviews. I would've been so happy and impressed had they compensated me appropriately, and would've been happy to leave a 5 star review if they'd merely acknowledged my experience and...

Update: Nail chipped in 3 days!!!

Took 3 different nail techs to draw a simply spider web, because apparently the nail tech that they claim had 4 years experience couldn’t draw one in half an hour, and had to eventually get help. Came outside and realised how uneven the finishes are. Didn’t touch my cuticles, even though pushing it back should be part of a basic manicure.

There’s definitely a disparity between different nail techs and their skills. Good luck which one you end up with lol. Jenny was the only one that managed to draw the spider web and help me fix the shape of the tip + builder gel they put on.

To their credit, after complaining to their manager, they took $15 off my manicure, which still came to $60. Wouldn’t return, unless you know who to ask for. Go at your own risk.

Thanks for responding, I tried telling the tech to fix the shape of my the builder gel but due to the language barrier she couldn’t understand so I had to give up. She also mentioned she’s super stressed out about things unrelated to me or my nails, so I was afraid of stressing her out further. I told her if the time booked doesn’t allow for the designs I was happy to go with plain nail colours, she reassured me that there was time and the nail art could be done. When we booked we asked for 2 tips to fix my broken nails, so that should have been part of the booking already. I have just returned from one of the best nail salon experiences ever. I book an appointment online which was easy and hassle free. I currently have a crutch to walk with. I was given a friendly greeting and welcomed to the salon and offered a complimentary tea.

Tiffany helped me in and out of the chair was fabulous very talented and helpfully assisted by Amy. I wanted to do something vibrant and I brought in a screenshot and they helped me pick out colours that suited my skin tone. They were always checking to see if I liked the colour, the shape of my nails very attentive.

As I have knee issue I can't bend my leg as well so so both Tiffany and Amy worked together to get my toes done. I was ecstatic about my toes and I felt human again for a lil bit of self care and their consideration.

I highly recommend you trying this salon, good availability, easy to book, excellent service and value for money.
