Decided to try this place after all the social media hype. We waited for about 15mins to place our order, then another 15 mins for our food. Unfortunately we were super disappointed. Chefs special fried rice- the container was a thin one and yet not even full with food. Just a few prawns and tiny pieces of bbq pork, no other meat and just tiny crumbles of egg, that for $17. I have had much much better fried rice for cheaper. Stir fried chicken noodles- super slaty with some chicken and carrots $18! Wonton soup- Bland soup lacking depth of flavour and seasoning with lots of noodles. The wontons were the only tasty thing. I am not sure if our food was made in a hurry as they were super busy or they just couldn't be bothered as it was close to closing time, but after all that hype and anticipated waiting for the food we were so disappointed. Forget value for money, it wasn't even all that delicious.

Tony and family are definitely everything we love about hospitality. This is a multi-generational business. We were served by the owner's Grand-daughter, Cydney, at the counter. The owner Tony came to talk with us at our table. A warm and humble man. Katie, his daughter, was working hard in the kitchen with Tony's wife. ------------ 💡They do two things exceptionally well: ✅The human touch - the warmth of their service from the time you enter to the conversations within. ✅ No frills, delicious traditional Cantonese flavours. The gel that binds this together is their incredible work ethic, passion for what they do and their team bond.

For a late lunch I tried the roast pork (not the usual bbq pork) wonton noodle soup. With 5 pork wontons and the roast pork it was a very filling lunch. The service was quick and friendly from the next generation of this family business. The matriarch still oversees the business with a friendly smile as you leave with a full stomach. It re-established itself in Epsom after the Mercury theatre food court closed for the new railway station. With easy access and parking close by, certainly be visiting more often now.

My daughter and I decided to get some food from this outlet due to it having a reputation of good food. We paid just over $90 for four serves of food. I REGRETED IT. On placing our order we were told that it would take about half an hour to prepare. On getting the food my daughter decided to check the contents of the bag provided but was told by the lady at the counter that everything was in the bag. Trusting her we took the food and went home close to the Auckland Airport. On getting home we found that there were only 3 serves of food in the bag. So we rang the outlet and was told that a refund would be issued which was not good enough as my son would have missed out on lunch. So we drove back to the outlet to pickup the missing food. We were not offered anything as compensation for the extra 20 or so kilometres travelled to pick up the food that was not supplied. My serve of a small container of fried rice with rost pork cost a total of $35. $30 for rice and pork and $5 for frying it. For that price I could have got a better meal from the Korean chicken shop 4 shop away. My daughter ordered chicken fried rice. I thought the eggs were in short supply but in this case the chicken was in short supply. Could not see the chicken. I hope others don't get scammed. That outlet is increasing prices from April 4th. Not...

We went to get deep fried wontons today. Unfortunately I felt like they compromised on their standards since we ordered a large amount of wontons. I wanted to let it go and not worry about it, but after having 2 wontons with no fillings in them, then looking at the rest and they all looked similar, either they had a little peanut size filling or nothing at all. We decided to return it back to the shop. The lady apologized and then cooked some new wontons, she brought it to the counter and Unfortunately they were similar to the first lot. She went on to say that they have always made their wontons that way. I told her no this was not how you guys made them 4-5 months ago when your shop was reopened at the corner of Greenwoods lights in Greenlane/Epsom. Really good happy family and I aways enjoy their welcoming customer service. But your deep fried wontons have changed and I would not recommend them to anyone. Definitely not a good product if they keep selling their current stingy portion of wonton...

Went to this place for lunch today, we ordered wonton with dry noodles and rice noodle in egg gravy. The wonton and dry noodle was nice (i’d give it 4/5 for flavour), but the rice noodle in egg gravy was flat, lacking flavour and there was a funny stale taste to it, was it the broth? Anw what drove me to give a review is the service. They are no longer in a food court but still operate like they do - order as soon as you come in, then pick up when your order is called. Thats not a biggie, but when they ration your serviette and diluted chilli oil, it’s absurd. One serviette per person and one small serving bowl of chili oil diluted in soya sauce. You cant help yourself to more sauce and or more serviette. They are ridiculously stingy. The lady at the counter was really rude, and would scold you for asking more. If she was nicer, im sure there would be more people who would return. There are other good wonton soup restaurants with similar price and...
