Epsom Fresh Fish and Chips may have mastered the art of the perfect chip. Slightly crisp, neither overcooked nor prone to going limp by the time you get home. Perhaps it's because they serve up in boxes rather than the newsprint wrap arrangement we are more familiar with. Whatever the trick, they should keep it up.
They may over-estimate their wait times, which is not always the worst thing in the world and better than the chronically optimistic alternative. We phoned ahead to place our order around the busier part of a Sunday evening and were told to anticipate a 30 minute wait. On arrival perhaps 15 minutes later, I paid and only had a couple of minutes wait before my order was being called.

I got the simple hoki and the kumara chips; the fish turned out bigger than I expected and the kumara went pretty well with the fish. For those of us who don't know what kumara is, it's like the local sweet potato. Both fish and the kumara chips were crispy and really tasty.
