Status, The Veg Edge — Restaurant in Albert-Eden

Me and my friend went to this place on a Saturday evening at around 7.30. I had already reserved a table for two beforehand. The place looked busy with lots of people. Ambience was good. We then waited for 20 long minutes for some one to take order.

We ordered 2 dishes each and we waited for our food to arrive. Then we waited. Then we waited for some more time. We were served one dish at a time in the time interval of half hour which made sure that when I ate, my friend stared at me and when she ate, I stared at her. I wondered whatever happened to our plan of eating together..... By the time our last two dishes arrived, we had almost lost our appetite.

Between all of this, we were brought food ordered by a different table. Trust me, I was so hungry by this time, I had half a mind to eat it but sent it back.

The mains were served first and the starters came at the end. For $74 for 4 simple and not so complicated dishes, I guess one shouldn't be made to wait for this long even on a weekend evening. People come to eat together and last thing they expect is to be served in the intervals of 30 minutes dish by dish! If I am paying almost double the price for the food that costs $35 elsewhere, I expect good service at least.

At the end, we were made to wait for 10 minutes to even make the payment! We felt absolutely neglected. When finally we had someone to make the payment, I politely asked if something was wrong, the gentleman was unapologetic and said this is how things are on the weekend.

Food was ok but was cold by the time it came to the table. All of this took away the excitement and appetite. I seriously would not recommend this place to anyone. If you have plans for evening,...

Latest my special birthday buffet I recently held my special birthday celebration at Status, and it was an unforgettable experience, thanks in large part to the excellent organization and support from the owners and staff. Mr. Chirag, the owner, was incredibly pleasant throughout the event, offering helpful suggestions from the menu to allowing us early access for decorations. Aakash, the staff member, was consistently polite and composed, going above and beyond by climbing up the stairs multiple times to set up and replenish the buffet.

The professionalism and accommodating nature of the entire team were truly impressive. They even lent us a mobile stand when we realized we’d forgotten to bring ours—an example of their thoughtful attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere made for a memorable celebration.

I highly recommend Status for any special occasion or dinner. It’s a venue that truly goes the extra mile to ensure a wonderful experience.

Past review I visit Status quite often with friends, family for lunch, tea or dinner. Astha, our gracious host at Status restaurant, consistently caters to our needs with polite finesse. The vegan and vegetarian offerings at Status impress with their delectable variety spanning different cuisines. A sample lunch was the one by two flavourful Man Chow soup, the delicious dosa rolls and a shared sizzler plates. Each dish was a culinary delight. We went to Status for the first time for having dinner tonight from a close friend's referral with minimum expectations. Walking into this place seeing how fine It looked and the ambience just won our hearts. When we got seated, we were issued with the Menu book which appeared very impressive at first glance. Wandering thru' the ideal menu list, we had plenty of options to begin with. Starters got to us super quick which Tasted super flavored oozing so much flavors with some nice presentation along. Servers all around were super efficient and looked very much passionate. Then came this special guy, Kamal was his name, he seemed to be either the owner or someone who's a Chef or so, who took our order with such great enthusiasm and recommend us the finest choices of menu. We indeed relished our taste buds to the peak and enjoyed every dish with pure joy. Even kids kept praising every dish came thereafter. We had such a great family dining in a beautiful setting with some nicest people around offering fabulous food served hot and fresh with absolute bliss. We left with joy in our hearts and minds promising them and thanking their sweet hospitality and passionate work they do in giving utmost pleasure to their guests In an awesome way. The Experience we went through was class apart from reality with some mouth watering taste of India's finest and choicest delicacies as a supreme statement. We all cannot Wait to be there very soon too celebrate life to the fullest.
