Just left Burger King D/Thru at 9.12 doors closed only D/Thru operating had x2 cars when placing order saw more cars coming through. Place order for family bundle $37.00 than got to cashier window and ask girl to add BK chicken which she had to ask her manager. I heard the manager say No and than i ask the girl and she ask the manager. The manager said we do not take added orders once you place your order thats it. I explain that customers should be allowed to add to there orders she said not at this Burger King because D/ Thru is busy. If Burger King does this than it would be good to place a sign that this particular D/thru on Manukau Road does this as it would give customers the option to spend more. The managers mannerism was quite rude in the way she said "Not at this BK" but thats ok because the staff were abit worried the girl and guy and i said it was ok but i will not be taking the order and said goodbye and not to worry it was ok. My conern is you do get the odd customer who will make a scene and thats on the staff as point of contact the manager only deals with the situation when they are called while the manager is either in the back of house cooking and with no headset worn to acknowledge a annoying customer thats abit unfair when the staff are point of contact. No to your question the manager had no headset but probably because the store has intercoms to listen than is that still fair for staff to be left alone. The manager only came to see me when the staff girl asked her. Why would BK bosses not place a sign on the order board saying no add ons at the cashier window this would be professional and safer for young staff to deal with. I did ask her for the managers name but she said no thats ok professionalism not sure why because no apology was given but a big No to adding on. I graded only the staff a 3 because they were trying there best. I graded a 1 for product because i could not buy another BK burger at the window and because i had to end up cancelling my whole order or one of us would of had to go without, so i ending up going to KFC balmoral. I gave grade x1 for service as the managers mannerism did not have the customers interest or need she was more concerned that the d/thru was now full and was not interested in my order that she walked away and left the girl and guy to deal with me which was rude. I graded a 3 for atmosphere due to the nice attitude and politeness of the girl and guy. You have a right to choose and not cause a scene and i chose to not make a scene and not accept my order and go somewhere else. It seemed that losing a customet is ok but how many do BK lose i dont think i am the first one and i wont be the last how disappointing to BK or is it? Is the question or maybe its been going on for awhile and nothing been done not even a courtesy sign. If you want to order more do it at the speaket box or get a NO at the ordet pickup window. Well it ended up at good night at least i got my xtra order at another fast food outlet. Will i be visiting again not anytime soon unless management changes there policies and put a sign up. Thankyou staff you did a good job at customer satisfaction well...
Read moreReally poor service on our recent visit. Could not find the option for vegan mayo on the selection screen in relation to the vegan burger, as it was missing. Had grumpy staff member insist it was there, which she proceeded to show us by selecting a totally different burger, against which it was an option. She tried to make out we were wrong by doing this, but she was wrong by going for a different burger. Told us we could buy the vegan mayo (aioli), separately. Why should this cost extra, it is afterall a vegan burger so should come with vegan mayo. Decided not to pay extra as we were told the burger was already made, then on opening it we find it has mayo, which we had removed from the order as wanted vegan mayo instead. When questioned about it she said they had put vegan mayo in as asked for, even though we hadn't paid extra. Doubt this very much. BK would go a long way by just letting you select normal or vegan mayo and not charge for the change, since vegan mayo costs in reality no more for the little amount involved compared to regular mayo. Staff might not then be so obnoxious about it. It is a shame as people need to be able to trust they are getting what they asked for, not left doubting the staffs'...
Read moreNothing short of a disappointment. The entire experience left me frustrated and dissatisfied. To begin with, the restaurant was far from clean. The floors were sticky, giving the place an overall unhygienic feel. The limited parking only added to the inconvenience, making it clear that the location was poorly thought out.
The issues didn't end there. Many items on the menu were unavailable, severely limiting choices. This, coupled with the slow service, made the visit all the more frustrating. Orders took an unreasonably long time, and the staff seemed indifferent to the obvious discomfort of the customers.
I'm left with a mix of anger and disappointment after this experience. It's disheartening to see a well-known chain operate so poorly. I hope improvements are made to enhance the overall customer experience. As it stands, I cannot recommend this Burger King...
