i consider myself to be a Foodie and i love trying out food of different restaurants .In my job i get to travel the world and i like to try as many restaurants as possible. Today i tried HERITAGE Cuisine of India in kingsland, Auckland . Wow what a food , i tried the following - Chicken Lollipop shown in first picture- it was just divine and it had excellent flavours and very juicy inside.Chicken was very well cooked and a MUST TRY for KIDS AND whole family.
Second picture was Lamb chop - i must say i have never ever tried a better Lamb chop than this, which just melted in my mouth. This was the best i have tried across the globe. Third was Dal makhani and again the favour was from Authentic North India and lastly i tried Market Fish - which was totally new to me .It had Fish with lemon rice and coconut sauce and beautiful flavours. And i tried Strawberry MAZITTO made by Amit.It was made of FRESH Strawberries and again MUST TRY.I cannot describe the favours and i ended up having 3 of them. Their Service and presentation of FOOD was great .It was almost Full and several pick up orders were being picked up.Still the staff was very well mannered and great service . I strongly recommend if you love food you must visit Heritage indian restaurant in Kingsland .I have no doubt in saying that this RESTAURANT will be one of the best for AUTHENTIC INDIAN FOOD in Auckland or NEW ZEALAND by Far. thank you to Team of Heritage for GREAT FOOD Tonight,i will...
Read moreThank you for accepting the fact that it's a genuine review .Yes It was communicated to us well in advance about WAITANGI DAY . I was well aware about 15% surcharge . But HAVE YOU COMPARED THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR ONLINE PRICE , YOUR MENU PRICE & YOUR SYSTEM PRICE yet . I attached receipt for reference so that it's easier for you to check.
Thanks for your prompt response . So you are accepting the fact that you always charge extra money for the people who booked through First table (*50% discount ) . I wrote a review to mention about the prices . Do check the online menu , your table menu & what you have actually charged . I attached much clear picture of invoice & receipt. Hope that helps for you to understand it's your business not some other receipt. Please check . Thank you .
We had a bad experience . Details are mentioned . I attached a picture for reference.
menu price & what they actually charge is different . (whatever we ordered ended up paying $1-$2.5 on 3-4 items . It's a loot. Their online price is cheaper than their menu , & menu price is more cheaper than what they actually charge. Keep an eye on menu & reconfirm the price with manager so that you actually charged for what you have ordered or you will end up paying more than actual price .
No Wifi - NO WIFI FOR CUSTOMERS ( Than for whom ?? )
Food - No doubt their food is good but it's better to opt for online take aways instead of diners as you end up paying...
Read moreThe restuarant is well laid out and the decor is tasteful, however we found the food quite bland. We ordered the non-veg banquet to start. The there were 3 prawns, unsalted and tasted like it was only covered in tumeric, very bland. The lamb seekh kebab was dry and covering it with the chutney did not make a difference. The chicken was also quite bland. The waiter asked us how the food was and when i honestly told him my thoughts he started to tell us the reason why the food is bland is because it caters mostly to their crowd, he said kiwi's enjoy this taste and have complained before when they have made their dishes more flavourful? I thought that was rude, i am a kiwi myself just an indian kiwi. Sounded like he was saying kiwi's can't handle flavour? Hhhmmm. He spoke to the chef and came back and told us next time we should ask for chillie sauce. I continued to tell him its not about how spicy the dish is, the prawns had no salt and the lamb kebab tasted like sandpaper? I said we would see how the mains go. We got butter chicken and lamb saagwala. There wasn't really an authentic taste but the saagwala was better than the rest in terms of flavour. Butter chicken was very sweet. Naans were okay, a little on the dry side. I feel like you can get the same food at a foodcourt at foodcourt prices not restuarant prices. Shoutout to the waiter though for being friendly and listening to our thoughts however we wouldn't recommend...
