The tall dude at the register totally refused to respond after I greeted him ready to place our order. He wouldn't even look at me. Kept his head turned away from me until my partner spoke up to order. I should've put him in his place right there and then but decided I'm not going to let his insecurities or racial ignorance take any power from me. He doesn't deserve to greeting people let alone wait upon anyone. His customer service was the worst I've seen in NZ. The food wasn't disappointing but the presentation was. Very basic although filling. Sourdough bread was disappointing. Should've went with my instincts and avoided the place. My partner and I both regret spending money to support this business. The girls that were cooking there were friendly and showed good waiting etiquette...
Read moreI was hesitant as soon as I got to the door of this business, absolutely filthy finger marks everywhere all over the windows and door - yuk. Went in anyway..big mistake. Purchased a ham roll and 2 small asparagus rolls - FOR 24.00!!! I thought 'this better be the best cabinet food I've ever had'...well it wasn't. I was tricked because the filling had been placed at the opening of the "panini" with the rest left hollow. For $12.50 I got a cheap bread roll (wasn't even panini bread), a scattering of chicken, two very thin slices of brie and a bit of cranberry jam, it was terrible! If I hadn't left the area I would have asked for my money back. I'm letting you know value for money is not great at Anna's Cafe (for the panini's anyway). First impressions count- this was my first and last time I'll buy food at...
