Ben Gong Queen’s Tea Riccarton — Restaurant in Christchurch

This was my 3rd time came to this store and received bad customer service. Hence why I decided now to post my honest review.

The first and second were to do with how unfriendly and unhelpful the cashier lady when we asked for drink recommendation. Not just the tone but her expression and body language was like don't want to serve us.

On my last visit few days ago, it was a quiet day and no one ready to great the customer at the cashier. I had to wait for a minute as there was no bell to press etc until they realise there is a customer. Wasn't much an issue for me regarding this.

However, when I wanted to try their NEW drink called "Hazelnut Cocoa..." which printed on their shop glass wall, the cashier lady (picture attached to my review) asked me several times for what I said and finally told me that those NEW drinks were not ready in a very rude tone, it was like she annoyed with me asking for something they don't have.

I then ordered something else. When my drink was ready, she wasn't willing to serve her customer by bringing the drink to my table when the store was so empty at that time, and I was sitting super near to their kitchen which she also passed by after I ended up pick my drink from the cashier. I totally understand if the store was busy.

ZERO customer service and I hope that lady learn and improve her attitude and tone when...

Appalled is putting it politely… firstly, the lady who served me (has a fringe/bang) was incredibly rude and dismissive towards me. Secondly, $11 to get a glass of milk with brown sugar syrup and some boba pearls for $11 is ridiculous… especially when it’s advertised under the section of “fresh milk tea” assumably you would think there’s tea in the brown sugar milk drink… nope and when I asked if I could add it they just continued to put the lid on. Honestly it was disgusting service the absolute dismissiveness I received when I asked about if it had tea in it, and could I add black tea. Also the lid is tragic, split and spilt milk on my hands, so now my expensive glass of milk is spilled, talk about spilled milk but my god.. absolutely terrible I won’t be returning and will be spreading the word to avoid this. A nice stop for any bubble tea lover in Christchurch. As a green tea lover I absolutely had to try their fruit teas , I have to say I wasn't that impressed. As far as tea goes it was okay, the fresh orange green tea tastes more like orange skin instead of the actual fruit. However trying not to judge too quickly I tried their lemon and kiwifruit fresh fruit tea and was pleasantly suprised on how good it was. Their real show stopped is their boba, definitely a must try. The customer service here is good, nothing to brag about and nothing to complain about. However they are very good at handling a busy shop which is always great as a customer.
