The response from the video I created about them was just full of love and respect for what they have done in the community ❤️ A few days ago I returned and hosted a live stream event it was a blast to be able to fill the restaurant with fans and share some good food. If you ever find yourself in Christchurch stop in and tell them finding Huggie says hi 👋

Honey Chicken. $16.50. Felt like whoever is cooking this has lost their passion for delivering good quality food. This was precooked shredded chicken with a Gravy type sauce supposed to be honey. On fried rice with no taste either. I also ordered off the menu a piece of lemon chicken. It's not a piece of chicken, more like a piece of processed meat with a battery type coating..NO LEMON FLAVOURS. This was delivered via Door Dash. I WON'T RECOMMEND this place ever. An absolute waste of money. MY mind hasn't changed about going here.

Recently returned from living overseas, thanks to a Stuff article I found that Dumplings in Riccarton is THE original Dumplings from Shades Arcade that at least half of us Telecom workers in Hereford St used to visit :D So delighted to recognise the same family running a Christchurch icon. The rice and gravy was just as tasty as I remembered, lemon chicken light and crispy with the BEST flavoured sauce, and BBQ pork delicious with no fatty bits. Generous helpings for a reasonable price, and welcoming friendly...
