Not a great experience overall. The counter girl was affable enough but we were very disappointed that over half their products were unavailable because they had run out of avocados. Someone needs to brush up on their stocktaking I imagine! Then when the request was made to have the volume turned down whomever was in control of the sounds didn't have the slightest volition to grow an idea and capische this request. A little background music can certainly accentuate the ambience. But to rock the Casbah is another thing all together. It is a charmingly presented wee cafe and the two stars were supplied on this basis. And for the superb pot of tea. Served nice and piping hot just like an English Breakfast tea should be. I'm always prepared to give things another shot. Off days strike even the very best...

Took 19min for 2 takeaway coffees, which was surprising and disappointing - tasted good though. I would've appreciated a heads up that there was going to be that significant of a wait for the coffee as we would've adjusted our plans.

Otherwise the staff interactions were positive. They brought water glasses out to us within 1min of requesting them and the heated and buttered scone was brought out well before the coffee also which was appreciated.

Atmosphere was fine, crossfit or some kind of gym across the road had abnoxiously loud music pouring out if it - however as someone who has APD I still found outside less intense to try to kōrero...

I've been to many coffee shops around New Zealand. Have spent so much money of coffees and have not found one as amazing as this place provided me today. The cappuccino I recieved today was the perfect temperature flavour and size. The price was low price for such amazing quality. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was friendly and felt very homely. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a coffee of high quality and value for money.
