This Japanese restaurant in Christchurch offers an exceptional all-you-can-eat experience at a reasonable price. The staff are notably friendly and attentive, making sure every customer feels welcomed. The quality of food is impressive, particularly their fresh salmon sashimi and perfectly grilled yakitori skewers. The sushi selection is diverse and constantly replenished. While the restaurant has a casual dining atmosphere, they maintain high standards in food preparation and presentation. The service is prompt, and the staff are quick to clear plates and respond to requests. At around $47+6(sashimi) per person for lunch , it represents excellent value for money, especially considering the quality and variety of dishes available. If you're craving Japanese cuisine in Christchurch, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I was disappointed since I read all the good reviews! But will have to give an honest opinion. . . Starting with the positives, the service was amazing and I really loved the takoyaki and takowasa (a little salty) but still 10/10!! But unfortunately was super let down by the ramen and kushiyaki set .. meat was so dry and was disappointed with every single different skewer I tried :”( The ramen was a complete let down as it wasn’t even hot. The broth tasted like it was only made with water + gochujang. Noodles were soggy and didn’t have the bounciness you would get from a proper ramen place . I will be coming back to give some other items a go next time as they have so many and will see if it is any better,, ^__^

Really nice Japanese restaurant with great kitchen and authentic vibe. Plenty of vegetarian options and vegan on request! Nice and polite service. Perfect place to share many small dishes. Food was amazing, think we tried every single vegan option. Gyoza is delicious, so are skewers. Recommend mushroom and mixed Vege one. If you want to try something different try Mushroom Nabe noodle soup. Kaiso salad is also yummy. Vege tempura and Agedashi tofu are average, but overall it’s solid choice. Make sure to make booking as it gets busy !

Value for money is excellent. Really affordable menu and picking what you like with tapa-style portions is great. For two people we had sodas and had some leftovers to take with us too, with the bill coming to about $50 for both.

The food was up to par but nothing to rave about. Well cooked and good flavours for most dishes but some were a miss.

The servers were incredibly polite and well informed. Small things could be done to make the experience a bit better — we weren’t offered water to drink and we weren’t given our own personal bowls to draw from the shared plates.

I would happily go back again and try a few different dishes. Good for date night on a budget or going out with some...
