This was our first time visiting the restaurant with friends. We chose the $80 buffet package per person and had high expectations for both the food and service. Each of us ordered five dishes. During the first round, the food arrived promptly, and we were all very pleased with the taste and presentation. However, when we placed our second round of orders, the experience changed. The food took approximately 20 minutes to arrive, and during that time, no staff came to check on our table. This left us feeling a bit disappointed. When we called a staff member to inquire about our order, she checked and informed us that the order had not been sent to the kitchen — which was quite disheartening. Midori’s newly opened kushiyaki & sukiyaki all-you-can-eat buffet is an absolute gem. The food is top tier – every dish is beautifully cooked and presented with care. The kushiyaki skewers come out perfectly grilled, juicy on the inside with just the right char on the outside. The sukiyaki broth is rich and comforting, pairing perfectly with the fresh, high-quality meats and vegetables.

What really stands out is the balance of variety and quality – it’s rare to find an all-you-can-eat spot that maintains such a high standard across every dish. The flavors are authentic, and you can tell a lot of thought went into crafting the menu.

My partner and I have decided this is hands down our favourite restaurant in this god forsaken city of white washed trash. We’ve been 3 times in the last 4 weeks and will likely be back 4 more times before the end of October. We only have the premium buffet and it never disappoints. Service is extremely friendly and fast, food is on point and they definitely do not hesitate when it comes to getting you to order more food. 1000000% what this city needed.
