Absolutely appalling experience, avoid at all costs.
If you can't handle running a big and busy venue, don't run a restaurant. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was completely disorganised and poorly managed. A staff member greeted us and offered us the only free table, right next to screaming kids and flying darts, or to stand at the bar and wait, with no further assistance or effort to help us find a better option. We chose to wait, but she clearly didn’t care and made no attempt to follow up or help us once other tables became free. It honestly made us wonder why she was even there.
With no real choice, we took the unpleasant table and ordered food and drinks at the same time. The drinks eventually arrived, but the food never came. Despite being patient, we watched the table next to us who arrived well after us receive their pizza. When we followed up, we were casually told our food was never put through, and that our pizza was now “out” (all before 6pm on a Saturday, really?).
We asked for our card back and left still hungry, completely disappointed, and shocked by the total lack of customer service. No apology, no effort, no care.
The staff here desperately need better training and a lesson in basic courtesy — it’s really not that hard. If your team can’t handle the pressure of running a busy venue, then maybe you shouldn’t be running one at...
Read moreGreat staff. Which is why they got 2 stars. Without them, it would be 1 star.
I do not recommend this establishment for one important reason.
The drinks are ridiculously tiny. I understand that many places serve small portions of wine, but the TSC has taken it to a new level (a very low one). A glass of wine that fills a tiny portion of a glass is plain mean, and unacceptable.
A pint of beer should be a pint. In the case of the TSC, it is a foamy underfilled glass about 330ml.
If this place is to be taken seriously, then I suggest the owners visit other bars in the area. Their cheap attitude is not going to be a great advertisement.
The two drinks were $30 for a beer and house wine. Around the corner at Regatta, the same drinks were $24 and they were decently filled.
The other disappointment was that the outdoor area had cloth covered stools out in the rain.. Right.. Nice organisation. Could they not put these undercover and put the wooden ones outside where it would not matter? Perhaps it could be explained by part of the roof not covering where they were.
Get over yourself TSC, and quit trying to be a first class establishment when you are far from it. Put another dollop of wine or beer in the glass, organise your outdoor area and make sure you reward your staff because they are...
Read moreI just went there a few minutes ago with my wife and ordered a puttanesca pizza without olives. Pizza came with olives on. Reason was the pizza chef doesn’t want to adapt the recipe. At the end I asked staff why it wasn’t possible to leave olives off. The pizza chef started to argue with me and in a rude way said that it is my problem if I don’t like olives, not theirs. So they will never leave things off the pizza. 2 minutes later an older guy came and pushed the pizza chef out of the pizza ,,kitchen”. He was nearly screaming at me just because of olives. Never experienced something like that. Never go there again. Absolutely no customer service and extremely rude.
PS: even after thinking about what happened I’m still shocked. The fact that they on purpose brought a pizza with olives although I ordered it without is just insane. (It would have been a different story if they would have done it by mistake). Just because the pizza chef doesn’t want to change the recipe. They really wanted to force me to eat a pizza that I didn’t order or like. This is exactly the behaviour why TSC has a google rating of 3.9! The owner should be on-site more often and see what kind of people are...
