Nothing but great things to say about the Oscar and Co team. The salon is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and most importantly they do a phenomenal job, every single time!

Aside from the talent, the small things are what really makes the overall experience great in comparison to other salons I’ve been to in Auckland.

Small things such as always refilling your lemon water, asking if you’d like another hot drink and having it out basically the second you sit down, taking the time to understand exactly what you do and don’t want. These little things add to the overall experience and keep you coming back!

My hair has never been a better colour and quality and I know it’s due to their care and knowledge not only in salon but with what to use at home, they will suggest what they think would be great for your hair but never try to sell you products that don’t work, or push products down your throat. This is something I find happens a lot at salons and you feel pushed to buy something you don’t need so they can gain commission. Oscar and co stylists care about your hair and you!

Had an appointment at 2:00 & showed up at 1:40. Checked in and the desk with one of the girls and let me know I was early and (Edward) needed about 15 mins before he was ready, so I went for a small walk and came back. I got back and a different girl is now at the desk and asked me to take a seat. 5 mins later Edward comes over and said that they did not have an appointment for me and that he had another client at 2:00. I couldn't believe they were saying this, said I already checked in, confirmed my appointment and have been waiting for 20 mins and not I no longer had an appointment and they couldn't do anything since he already had another client. I left so frustrated with how I was treated and did not understand why they "lost" my appointment after I had checked in, confirmed and waited since I was early. I even came home and checked my email confirmation just to make sure I didn't make a mistake and I was correct on the date and time. Wasted a huge chunk on time and left feeling yucky and very uncomfortable! Everything you should not feel when...

Finally a hairdresser that understands my hair- Thank you Edward.

I have thick wavy hair that is prone to fly always/frizz in Auckland’s high humidity. I do however like to embrace my wave and cut my hair with movement which is difficult to keep balanced with thick hair. Edward takes his time to listen to what you are hoping to achieve and discusses with you how he is going to achieve it. It’s very obvious that Ed understands hair in a way that many that many experienced hairdressers don’t. I am normally very anxious when trying a new hairdresser but after trialling a fringe cut with Ed I instantly put myself on his waitlist for a full cut and was not disappointed. He takes pride in his work and any concerns he will ensure the matter is fixed rapidly despite his busy schedule. Thanks again Ed for all your time and patience...
