Unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory behaviour from the asian security guard man.

I have been a regular visitor to Takapuna Library my entire life, and not once have I ever been told that eating was not allowed, until today. While quietly eating cold food, I was aggressively approached by this security guard, who spoke to me in a harsh tone and used rude words, immediately trying to kick me out. I understand if hot food is restricted due to strong smells, but my food was cold and had no noticeable smell unless someone was extremely close, and everyone around me was at least four meters away

This is not the first time this same security guard has been unnecessarily rude. On a previous occasion, he abruptly ordered me to take my phone call outside, even though I was quietly answering an important call from my GP in an area where people can talk and play piano. His lack of professionalism and basic courtesy is unacceptable and he should work else where.

My son is an avid reader and was buying him a couple of books every week. Just could not afford it so went to the library in Takapuna. The people inside are fantastic and they have a great selections of books. You can order them online, hold them, see the status via the website and even order them from other locations.
