Waited 1H 20M for food Friends same table had theirs in 20 mins Told they had 1 1/2 chickens left, then proceeded to sell 5 more chickens to customers behind. Staff completely out of it Manger rude and no care what so ever Chicken under cooked, zero grill marks, looked boiled Messed up our orders Staggered receiving of orders, friend had chicken come 20 mins in then fries 1 hour later. Arrived at 7:30 left just past 9pm, only ever about 4 tables of people Only used 1/4 of grill, kitchen was completly quite looked to nor be busy at all. Manger didnt know if to refund so asked for bank account number and we just had to trust they would refund us
Went in at 7:30 with 3 friends, all 4 of us were in the line with several people behind. First 2 friends ordered no issue then when myself and my other friend were ordering they received an online order, they left the till and left us standing there for 5 or so mins, then came back and told us we were going to have to wait 45 mins for our food and that they only had 1 1/2 chickens left. we had no choice and said ok as our other friends on the table had already ordered and paid. 1 hour and 20 mins later still didn't have food and everyone in the line behind me had received their orders including at least 4 more entire chickens which was funny cause they told us they only had 1 1/2 left, my other 2 friends had finished their meals about an hour ago, went up several times and they literally had nothing to say, would complain and ask how much longer and they would just blank stare at me, we could see into the kitchen and for some reason they only ever had about 1/4 of the grill going and they other 3 grills were cleaned probably to make closing easier. After going up and asking about 5 times my food finally came, fries were luke warm and chicken had zero grill marks (i know they have the chickens pre cooked and then chuck on the grill to get the final sear, guessing they had forgot about me and after the 5th time asking they quickly chucked my chicken on) after all this time my other friend who received his meal early still hadn't gotten his fries, so he went up and the manger said "oh do you want your fries now" this was an hour after he had finished his meal haha he said yes please and sat down, again they never came so when we left he asked to get a refund, the manger said "we don't do refunds" and asked him to write down his bank account number on the back of a random receipt. Reading the other reviews it seems like all this stuff happens constantly and they always give the same excuses, seems they only focus on online orders and lie to customers about how much chicken they have in the last few hours of services so they don't have to cook large amounts or use the grills they have cleaned. When leaving we asked the manager what was up with the service and let her know how bad our experience was, she smirked and simply asked, did you eat the food which i replied "yes" then she said nothing else.
Manager seem to be completely winging the job, all staff have zero clue what the hell is going on, you would think as a big franchise they would have a code and standards each franchise store has to abide by and reach but seems like as long as you have money they will let any moron run a Nandos.
Honestly the worst dining experience I've ever had in my entire life, they need to close this hole down or get someone in who knows what the hell...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Nando's store in Auckland. The worst dining experience we have had to date. The 'Store manager' did not seem to care while we talked to her and laughed as we left the store. We are patient diners and don't like to act like 'Karens' but the service was soo bad that I had to go out of my way to write such a long review.
Halfway through ordering our food they told us a big online order had come in and that they would only be able to give us 1.5 chickens. We were told that the wait for food would be about 40 minutes which we didn't mind. They were bringing the orders out incomplete with a fries to one person a bit of chicken to another and 2 people on our table waited for over an hour to receive any food at all. Also note at the time of our order only 4 of the 13 tables in the store were occupied so it wasn't peak dinner rush.
While we were waiting people who had come into the store 30 minutes after us and ordered were served whole chickens and meals after being told they didn't have chicken earlier. After asking multiple times they forgot to bring fries to one person on our table and on the way out he asked for a refund on the large fries since they were never served. the manager proceeded to tell us they don't do refunds and we had to leave our bank account details and name for it to get sorted out.
We have dined here at least 3 times since its the closest branch and every time there has been issues. We order wraps and they bring out burgers, and they forget to bring food out full stop where we have to go and ask and then get questioned.
The food as always is good and fresh but the customer service is atrocious, The store manager did not seem to make any effort to amend any of the issues. We will be driving to Wairau branch next time.

Read moreToday I was wanting to order Nando’s for lunch phoned 6 or 7 times no one answer end up I need to go to the shop to order.I walked in and talked to a guy with long hair I said to him I phoned 6-7 times to the shop no one answer must be something wrong with your phone then he said he did not even hear the phone ringing then he checked the phone got the flat battery. Then I was joking to him I said you will lose lots of business if your phone is not working.He replied you can use online order or App order I said I am old school that is why if the phone is not working then I come to the shop to order. Then he replied you cannot came into the shop to yell just because the phone is not working. He repeated that I cannot yell for 3 or 4 times but I did not even yell.The reason I asked him about the phone is not working is I want to know why, secondly I wanted him to fix it so he can receive other people’s order. But the way he talks pisses me off as a result I walked out the door without ordering. Last time I did the phone order about 1 or 2 weeks ago when I went to pick up the order ,the lady told me the business is quiet she sounded very depressing I replied to her that’s why I am here to support the local business. Last time I ordered about $56 today was going to placethe similar amount for the order.But seems like they don’t need the local support at all.
