Cute small japanese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and has a comfortable athmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem to like working there and do a lot for the positive vibe. What I've ordered so far: Takoyaki - new favourite dish at Coo's, I just had it today and it was so creamy and delicious! Gyoza - absolutely amazing, especially with some soy sauce. Can 100% recommend this as a starter or to have with a drink. Katsu don (Pork) - was amazing, it could do with some extra tonkatsu sauce for the rice but was still very (!) good. Ikageso - delish little calamaries. Nothing more, nothing less. Karaage don - the karaage was nice and juicy. I am not yet sure how it compares to the chicken katsu don but can recommend. Eel don - beautifully presented and I loved it, but I like eel in general, so if you are not big on fish, I would not recommend this. Umeshu - nicely presented and tasty, reminded me of some dried plums I've had...
Read moreGreat Japanese food. Fantastic service. Very friendly staff. It's a small place so make sure you book ahead. It gets full very quickly. Also they do not allow any outside beverages to be consumed in their restaurant. I suppose fair enough. But overall you won't be disappointed. Their menu has something for everyone, but if you are a large eater, remember it's Japanese food so their food portions are small on the plate / per order. Lunch has yummy Dons with Rice. My personal favourite is the Karaage Chicken Don, kids love their flavoured chips, spicy salmon Don and Beef steak Don. sushi's and sashimi are nice but beware are tiny in...

A small boy ran out and opened the whole front of the restaurant which was quite cute but it was a cold night so maybe he should have had some supervision. We all clapped when one of the patrons shut the large sliding window. They have one of the best views in Birkenhead... From the toilet. I think the whole restaurant needs to be turned around so you're looking...
